figures, discussion and b y analysing the prepared notes of the pupil.

New Terms : Area of triangle in between parallel lines.
Facts : Triangle with same base and between the same parallel lines have equal area.
Concept : Concept of area of triangle
Concepts of properties of parallel lines.
Process : Process of finding the area of triangle in a parallel line.

1. Recall the term area.
2. Recognize the area of the triangle.
3. Identifies the concept of area.
4. Explain the area of triangle.
5. Give illustration for area.
6. Compare the area of different triangles in parallel line.
7. Plans to do more problems
Pre requisites : The students have knowledge on area of triangle

Teacher checks the home work problems.
Then teacher select pupil randomly and ask questions on what
studied in the previous classes.
And the steps for solving problems.
Presentation

Teacher give a question in chart
‘Draw ∆ABC with AB = 4cm, BC = 5cm and CA = 6cm, draw an
isosceles triangle of the same area with one side as AB itself.’
After explaining this question teacher draw the figure in the black
board using instrument box.

Teacher show second question in the chart and ask them to write
in their notebooks
‘Draw ∆ABC in the first problem. Draw a triangle of same area
with one side as AB and < B =30o’

To explain the steps for drawing triangles of equal area.
Follow-up activities
Draw a circle and a triangle as in the figure below. Draw a
triangle of same area with all three vertices on the circle.
Pupil discuss in the group
and find the answer.

Name of the teacher: Basil Roy Idiculla Subject : Mathematics Unit : Area Sub unit : Unchanging Area Curricular Statement To understand the relation between areas in a parallel line through problem solving, drawing figures, discussion and b y analysing the prepared notes of the pupil. Content Analysis New Terms : Area of triangle in between parallel lines. Facts : Triangle with same base and between the same parallel lines have equal area. Concept : Concept of area of triangle Concepts of properties of parallel lines. Process : Process of finding the area of triangle in a parallel line. Learning Outcomes The pupil will be able to 1. Recall the term area. 2. Recognize the area of the triangle. 3. Identifies the concept of area. 4. Explain the area of triangle. 5. Give illustration for area. 6. Compare the area of different triangles in parallel line. 7. Plans to do more problems Pre requisites : The students have knowledge on area of triangle Teaching Learning resources: Usual classroom aids, Charts.   • 2. Class Room Interaction Procedure Expected Pupil Response Introduction Activity 1 Teacher checks the home work problems. Then teacher select pupil randomly and ask questions on what studied in the previous classes. And the steps for solving problems. Presentation Activity 2 Teacher give a question in chart ‘Draw ∆ABC with AB = 4cm, BC = 5cm and CA = 6cm, draw an isosceles triangle of the same area with one side as AB itself.’ After explaining this question teacher draw the figure in the black board using instrument box. C A B Activity 3 Teacher show second question in the chart and ask them to write in their notebooks ‘Draw ∆ABC in the first problem. Draw a triangle of same area with one side as AB and < B =30o’ Most pupil answers correctly Pupil write question in their note books. Activity 4 Teacher divide the class into 10 groups and gave activity card contain a question and ask them to answer Closure Activity 5 Teacher concludes the class by coordinating the problems that studied in the class. Review Activity 6 Teacher ask question to randomly selected students. To explain the steps for drawing triangles of equal area. Follow-up activities Draw a circle and a triangle as in the figure below. Draw a triangle of same area with all three vertices on the circle. Pupil discuss in the group and find the answer.
