The Hilti Chair of Business Process Management offers highly motivated full-time degree and Erasmus students the opportunity to get involved in the department's research activities alongside their studies. In order to be accepted onto this unique research scheme students must have demonstrated outstanding academic performance during their previous studies. The selection process is highly competitive with only a few places available each academic year. Early applications are recommended.

Application Requirements-Full Time Degree Students
Who is eligible for the Degree Student Research Fellowship?
˃ Applicants of full-time Master of Information Systems at the University of
Liechtenstein can apply for the Degree Student Research Fellowship in parallel
˃ Must fulfill all requirements for admission to the Master in Information System:
˃ Completion of a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in
˃ Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, Computer
Science as well as both Natural or Engineering Sciences with at least 180
ECTS credits.
˃ Performance above average in your former study programme.
˃ English language proficiency on level C1
˃ Basic knowledge in research methods.

Expectations from Full Time Degree Students
What performance is expected of a Degree Student Research Fellow?
˃ Required to meet the following academic goals in order to secure their research
position for the whole duration of their studies:
˃ Must earn 20 ECTS in Semester 1
˃ Must earn 50 ECTS in Year 1 (including the examination in Business Statistics)
˃ Must demonstrate certified knowledge in German at Level B1 after Year
1 (German classes are offered by our university)
˃ A first assessment of performance takes place after Semester 1. In case of missing
the above goals the candidate may be excluded from further funding.

Application Process – Full-time degree students
˃ Applications for the Degree Student Research Fellowship should be submitted at
the same time as the application for the Master in Information Systems.
˃ To apply, please additionally submit:
˃ (1) a letter of motivation,
˃ (2) a brief description of potential research areas for your time as a BPM
Student Research Fellow to Sandra Beyer.
˃ Application is reviewed by a board of senior researchers at the Institute.
˃ A maximum of five Student Research Fellowships are available
˃ Early applications are highly recommended.
˃ Application Deadline: 30th of April 2015.

Application requirements- Erasmus Track
Who is eligible for the Erasmus Student Research Fellowship?
˃ Students who are coming to the University of Liechtenstein for one or two
semesters as part of an Erasmus exchange are eligible to apply for the Erasmus
Student Research Fellowship.
˃ Students must be enrolled in a relevant Master degree at their home university.

Application Process
To apply, please submit:
˃ (1) a letter of motivation,
˃ (2) a CV,
˃ (3) a brief description of potential research areas for your time as an Erasmus
Fellow to Sandra Beyer.
˃ Applications reviewed by a board of senior researchers at the institute
˃ When being accepted to the programme, the regular Erasmus application process
is initiated in cooperation with the international office of the university
˃ The Institute of Information Systems willing to establish an Erasmus agreement
with the university of the applicant as soon as a student is accepted as a Student
Research Fellow
˃ A maximum of five Erasmus Student Research Fellowships are available
˃ Early applications are highly recommended
˃ Application Deadline: 30th of April 2015.
