1. BOB Baruffaldi Bio
Bob Baruffaldi takes the role of a busy drummer, in many different live and studio sessions.
He played and worked with several national and international artists (both live and in the studio) like
Mike Stern, Bryan Baker, Rocco Zifarelli, Simone Sello, Lorenzo Feliciati, Luca Pirozzi, Pierpaolo Ranieri,
Simone Gianlorenzi and Alessandro Chimienti.
He also did several TV appearances with different contributions that also covers the TV/Radio advertising
jingles recordings area.
He is also busy as a drum teacher (also privately in his studio) from several years now, and he teaches
drum at Sonus Factory Music Performance Institute in Rome. He wrote the Drums Factory Books,
currently used for the school’s drums courses. He also had several collaborations with different music
schools in Rome, Italy.
He’s qualified with the Music Teaching Diploma (Level 6) with the Rock School institute based in London,
UK.
He’s heavily involved with the promotion of his project called Drum & Sounds, that is based on the
knowledge of the sounds of the drumset in every situation, both live and in the studio.
He has worked in the past as a drum tech with the likes of Vinnie Colaiuta, Virgil Donati, Gregg
Bissonette, Steve Smith and Mike Portnoy.
He’s also been involved from more than ten years now as a major contributor and freelance writer for the
leading Italian drumming magazines, Percussioni, Batteria, Ritmi, and he wrote more than 800 articles.
His article Tuning Drums, got the cover of Percussioni magazine for the May and June 2003 issues. He’s
one of the founding member of the Drumset Mag drumming magazine.
He took take care about the Italian edition of Groove Essentials 1.0/2.0 books/play-along, the best sellers
drum books written by Tommy Igoe.
He’s an official endorser for Remo drum heads, Dori acoustic booth, Acustica Drum Store and uses
Yamaha drums and RV Custom snare drums.
