 However, portables require extra-long
extension cords to power appliances.
This creates a maze you would have to
navigate in the dark. Be weary!

8.  Connected directly to the home and
fuel source.
 Can essentially run forever, as long as
fuel source exists.
 Designed to start automatically.

9.  Your generator should produce greater
wattage than the total amount needed
by your appliances.
 Remember to account for the cushion,
which is the extra power used to deal
with power surges.
 Power surges are also called startup
wattage and every appliance needs it.
