1. Who Would You
Help if You Had One
Million Dollars?
Lauren Boze & Ayleen Alcántara
2. Ayleen, how would you help those less fortunate?
❏ With 1 million dollars, will build apartments near hospitals.
❏ My goal is to help low-income families, who have a relative
in the hospital with treatment and do not have the
resources to travel to another city for this treatment.
❏ I would also donate to a community of volunteers who work
inside hospitals with the goal of welcoming parents and
children, providing support and accompaniment.
3. Lauren, how would you help those less fortunate?
❏ With 1 million dollars, I would donate to nonprofit community
organizations working with “at-risk” youth of low
income/homeless families
❏ My goal would be to give underprivileged youth the
opportunity for a bright future
❏ Initiatives would be established to get youth involved (e.g.,
pizza night, study night, game night, etc.)
❏ The money would be used to organize events related to the
following:
❏ Physical & Mental health
❏ Vocational or College Planning
❏ Leisure & Extracurricular Activities
❏ Life Skill Training
4. Differences & Similarities
❏ Individual medical treatment
❏ Community Building
❏ Setting
❏ hospital/home vs. community
❏ Helping the youth
❏ Aiding low income families
❏ Provide support to families
5. Discussion: Worldwide, who do you think deserves the most help when
it comes to charity?
❏ We believe the population who deserves the most help are the children
❏ They will be able to improve our world for the future
❏ Pass on the help
