Deputy Manager Accounts and Imports:
Major areas of work are as under:
• Reporting to Manager Accounts, Chief Financial Officer, C.E.O. and Directors.
• Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Accounts.
• Supervising all the activities relating to recording, compiling and presenting of financial information.
• Costing and budgeting.
• Coordinating with auditors, banks, insurance companies.
• Monthly visit at Mills site for stock taking and preparation of yield reports.
• Analysis of yield on monthly basis.
• Quantitative reconciliation of stock on monthly basis (Raw material & Finished Goods).
• Comparative analysis of all expenses(Cost of Sales, Admin, Selling and Financial).
• Verification of final settlements of mills workers.
• Aging of receivables and payables.
• Preparing withholding tax details for payment on monthly basis.
• Involved in implementation of Wizmen ERP System.
• Handling insurance matters regarding imports and exports.
• Supervising the recording of purchase and general vouchers.
• Performing import relatedtasks including:
Ø Dealing with bankers, forwarder, and shipping agents and clearing agents.
Ø Preparation of Letter of Credit and Foreign Telex Transfer documentation.
Ø Negotiating exchange rate on retirement of import documentation with banks.
Ø Preparing costing of imported consignment.
Ø Letter of Credit Establishment including all matters / negotiation with the Bank in this regard
Ø Handling all import matters from LC Establishment till clearing of the consignments.
Ø Liaison with the freight forwarders for arranging shipments.
Ø Close follow up and interaction with the clearing agents for maintaining early clearances of the
shipments.
Ø Keeping a follow up on the upcoming consignments’ arrival.
Ø Regularly preparing reports about all shipments, LCs, PFIs and Orders to brief the Directors on weekly
basis.
Ø Checking and scrutinizing the bills and invoices of clearing agent and freight Forwarders.
Ø Preparing the costing of imported items / products being imported.
Ø Keeping adequate records of correspondence and import files.
Ø Wizmen ERP Entries
• Dealing with Cotton Purchase as a whole including:
Ø Dealing with brokers and ginners regarding cotton purchase contracts.
Ø Making arrangement for lifting cotton bales.
Ø Analysis and reporting of cotton results including lab results, weights and other quality related issues.
Ø Making comparison of cotton rates i.e purchase rate, KCA, NYC and A-Index.
Ø Making arrangements for payments to cotton creditors including tax payments.
