2. Christopher Nolan
Christopher Nolan is a British-American director, write and
producer, most well known for his work on the Dark Knight
trilogy and Inception. His films have grossed a total of $3.5
billion worldwide, and some people hail him as the most
accomplished and influential director of his generation. He
has been nominated for a total of 21 Academy awards, and
was also the youngest director to be awarded with a hand
and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese theatre in LA.
Nolan is currently working on ‘The Man of Steel’, a
Superman film to be released in 2013, already developing
hype.
3. The Dark Knight (Action thriller)
Batman, along with the Police chief and district
attorney, Dent, attempts to bring order to Gotham city, but the
criminal mastermind know as the Joker wrecks havoc upon
the city. The struggle becomes personal as the Joker
threatens to kill one person every day until Batman gives up
his identity, so Dent gives himself up to save the truth.
However, Dent and Rachel (Dent’s fiancée and love interest
of Batman AKA Bruce Wayne) go missing, and Batman must
choose to save the woman he loves or his friend. He
attempts to save Rachel, but realises the Joker has tricked
him into saving Dent, who escapes with half his face burnt.
Rachel dies, despite Batman’s efforts. The Joker then
convinces Dent to get revenge on those responsible for
Rachel’s death, forcing Batman to kill him and take
responsibility for everything, to keep Dent as a symbol of
hope for everyone.
