2. OVERVIEW
• Mobile Reverse Auctions or “Lowest-Bid Auction” a unique auction method
involving a high level of strategy and competition offered to subscribers
• Products or services such as electronic gadgets, household items, and gift
packages etc. placed on auction for a preset time.The player who holds the
“Lowest Unique Bid” at the closing of the auction wins
• This was an external pluggable system integrated with existing legacy system of
Flycell which consists of core engine and PLEX engine to handle mobile
requests and responses in special tailored manner to support different carriers,
integrators and connection types
• The system also dealt with serving content to mobile phones based on the
make-model and its restrictions/support for different content types

• Implemented two way automatic interaction of SMS System using legacy Plex
core and MO handlers
• Keyword based bids parsing and processing for SMS bids
• Integrated web application for web-based bids and wrapper APIs for SMS
channel
• CustomVAS engine to deliver SMS and notify users
• Carrier restrictions and limitations made configurable
• Admin tool to manage Auctions, Users,Winners, Prizes etc
