2. • Fashion has changed a great deal over the
centuries. As history changes it seems that
fashion in some aspect changes with it to
adapt to the era. Even today fashion continues
to change as the years go on. Looking at
fashion even 20 years ago we can see a
difference from what we see in our everyday
lives. This demonstrates that fashion is alive
like us.
4. 20s
• At the end of the long wars, the costume
revolution has begun to use ladies' dresses
and hats instead of traditional clothes. During
this period, jersey socks are also common. In
men, corduroys and hats were started to be
used.
8. 40s
• These years, the skirts that under the knees,
the jackets like the blazer style and high waist
skirt are widespread. Also thin nylon stockings
were used.
12. 60s
• In these years jean trousers have begun to
take place in our lives and flowered clothes
and short skirts are on the agenda. Also young
people have adopted different hair styles. The
eyeliner, which is fashionable today, is a
remnant of that era.
14. 70s
• 1970's years are the beginning of the use of
mini skirts. Again this year, Spanish long and
wide pants are used, flat and long hair fashion
is formed.
16. 80s
• 1980's is the most complicated period of
fashion. In these years, punk fashion has
affected young people; Hair bands, tights and
sports shoes have entered our lives.
20. 00s
• Popular hip hop songs influenced fashion at
the beginning of the 2000's. There were baggy
jeans, sweatpants, hooded sweatshirts,
sneakers, wide jean jackets, big chains and
bandanas.
