What is motivation?
MOTIVATION = Value of outcome × expectation of
achieving it
Motivation is a desire to achieve a goal, combined with the
energy to work towards that goal.
Motivation is everything. You can do the work
of two people, but you can’t be two people.
Instead, you have to inspire the next guy down
the line and get him to inspire his hope.
Motivation is the art of getting people to do
what you want them to do because they want to
do it.

• Responsibility

But what happens when there is
not enough motivation among the
employees?

Motivation Tips
• Thank personally , timely , often and sincerely
• Provide feedback
• Recognize, reward and promote based on performance
• Celebrate employees’ birthday
• Can give vouchers to best worker of the month
• Give chance to learn new skills
• Arrange an annual trip
• Should provide personal protective equipments
• Provide ownership in their work
• Involve employees in decisions
Advantages for the firm
• Production rate increase
• It saves time and money.
• It can uncover issues not readily apparent
• Innovation
• Happy employees are more accurate and have better
analytical abilities
• Happy employees equal lower costs
• Happy employees provide better service
