4.  Scapula, clavicle, & humerus serve as attachments
for shoulder joint muscles
 The articular surfaces are covered by hyaline
cartilage.
 The fibrous capsule surrounds the joint and is attached:
Medially to the margin of the glenoid cavity outside the
labrum;
Laterally to the anatomic neck of the humerus.
 The capsule is thin and lax, allowing a wide range of
movement.

5. Nerve supply by:-
 Articular branches
of medial & lateral as
well as the
axillary nerve

6. Blood supply:-
 By branch of subclavian artery

7. Muscles of shoulder joint:-
1. Coracobrachialis muscle
2. Deltoid muscles
3. Pactoralish major
4. Latissimus dorsi
5. Teres major

8. Movements:-
1. Flexion
2. Extension
3. Abduction
4. Adduction
5. Circumduction
6. Medial rotation
7. Lateral rotation
