There are 3 camps of Dental Associates when it comes to managing their tax affairs.
Camp 1 – Organised, work with an experienced Dental Accountant to ensure their taxes are
correct and paid on time.
Camp 2- Pay too much tax – why? Mainly because they have not got all their paperwork, lost
receipts and have not paid much attention to being organised. These Associates usually end up
paying more than they should.
Camp 3 – Those looking to push the boundaries a bit too far with respect to HMRC. They try
and claim for everything including their kitchen sink (too many personal items) and enter quite
often or not some interesting tax scheme which really is not suitable for their needs. Quite often
blinded by the prospect of paying lower tax, and forgetting that HMRC will come knocking on
the door.
