Project Description
Novo Nordisk is a Danish multinational pharmaceutical company with production facilities in seven
countries, and affiliates in 75 countries. Novo Nordisk manufactures and
markets pharmaceutical products and services. Key products include diabetes and obesity care
medications and devices. Novo Nordisk is also involved with hemostasis management, growth
hormone therapy and hormone replacement therapy.
Persistent Data Repository is the Enterprise Data Warehousing project which focused on designing and
developing a DW system that acts as the source system for all the Connex, Vantage, DW Analytics and
OSS operational and BI reporting systems developed for analyzing Novo’s Sales growth and Employees
Performance. The data sources included Siebel CRM, MS Access MDBs, IMS Managed Market Feeds.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an ETL Consultant and team lead, I was involved in:
 Gathering the business requirements from the business users
 Coordinating between the BI teams and ETL developers
 Involved in the functional and technical design of the existing and new Data marts and reports.
 Involved in coding the Greenplum Postgresql functions and writing python scripts for the data
loads and for performing various ETL requirements.
 As an onsite coordinator, I was also involved in reviewing the development team’s deliverables
and collaborating with the users during the User Acceptance Testing.

Project Description
INTTRA is the world's largest, multi-carrier network for the ocean shipping industry. INTTRA's services
allow shippers to efficiently plan, book, manage, and analyze ocean freight shipments with 40 leading
carriers. Over 525,000 container orders are initiated on the INTTRA platform each week, representing
more than 18 percent of global ocean container trade. Their e-commerce platform offers a
comprehensive range of e-commerce tools including: ocean schedules, booking, shipping instructions,
bill of lading, tracking and tracing, electronic invoicing, and reports.
Data Management Services is a project which focused on designing and developing an Enterprise Data
warehouse system that should become a centralized single source of truth for all the operational and BI
reports developed for different departments and also to transform the client from a transaction service
provider to an information service provider by offering software as a service. The initial operational
systems’ analysis has been performed and multi-layered data warehouse architecture has been arrived
at.
An ETL framework has also been designed and developed taking into consideration of parallel execution
of ETL jobs and load balancing in the Servers along with handling inter-dependencies between the ETL
processes.

As a team member and as a module lead, I was involved in:
 Designing the ETL framework which loads the data from flat files to Greenplum stage tables
which taking into account of error handling and capturing audit information
 Coding of Greenplum functions that transform data and load to intermediate layers

Project Description
D&B, established around 1850, was started as an "information provider" firm, collecting various
categories of information- be it basic, infrastructure, managerial, financial performance, share market,
legal, and personnel, about almost all companies in Europe.
Office Depot, a supplier company for small and medium businesses is a customer of D&B acquired
Viking Direct, a supplier for large businesses. Both companies have an overlap in their customer base
and campaigning effort is duplicated by both the companies. The project was to merge the customer
base for Office Depot and Viking Direct, after cleansing and standardizing the data. Cleansed data was
passed through de-duplication routines to identify and merge same customers. This single customer
view was then passed through address validation routines to flag addresses as mailable or not. The final
result was passed to the mailing agent for campaigning.
