Johannes Gutenberg was a German goldsmith and inventor who introduced modern book printing to Europe in the 15th century. He was the first to use movable type printing, around 1439. Project Gutenberg was founded in 1971 and aims to make books in the public domain freely available online. It holds over 30,000 titles in its digital library in many languages. Gutenberg invented the printing press, which allowed texts to be printed more quickly and cheaply than by hand copying. His printing technology spread widely and transformed the spread of information.

This is a version of presenation that I give for free around the state of Oregon. My intent is to change the way the military and veterans talk about combat stress injurie and PTSD, to make it more of an open topic. Currently we hear the term and we 'tune out' and don't seek the help so many of us need. Understanding what is happening in the brain and soul, with respect to our uniform and our warrior ethos, has helped many soldiers/marines begin treatment. I am always reworking this to make the message better. I try to relate to the audience and use my credentials as infantry instructor and combat vet to that effect.

9. Who is Johann Gutenberg? What are his achievements? Solution Johann Gutenberg was a German was the person who introduced printing in Europe. Apart from this, he was a goldsmith, blacksmith and a publisher. He was the sole reason for the printing revolution to start in Europe. The machine he introduced, mechanical movable type printer was considered the most important invention of the second millennium. In 1439, Gutenberg was the first and the only European who used a mechanical printer. The key feature in the printer was that it had hand-molded wooden characters and an oil based ink and wooden machine made from screw presses. This enabled 42 lines to be printed at once, and hence the cost of printing decreased. This in turn lead to the Renaissance, Reformation and age of scientific Enlightenment. People could now share ideas at a very less cost. Gutenberg\'s most notable publication was the Gutenberg bible. And after this the printing press was used to mass produce bibles..

A professor of mechanical engineering, Emanuel Sachs was credited in 2019 with developing 3D printing in one of MIT’s labs. This invention works by dropping liquid binder material into a powder bed and creating a three-dimensional product. Developed out of research from as early as the 1980s and 1990s, the 3D printer is continuing to evolve to the point that all sorts of objects can now be printed. Interestingly enough, this major invention might not exist without a mechanical engineering marvel created more than five centuries earlier. While mechanically reproduced text has existed in China for at least a millennium, Europe would not be introduced to it until Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press in 1440 in France. Originally from Mainz, Germany, Gutenberg would not perfect the press until 1450, when it was first used commercially. Unlike its predecessor which was made from wooden blocks, this version used metal and letters to create movable type. The technology relied on replica casting which reversed the letters in brass, and then made replicas of these molded letters using molten lead. According to National Geographic, researchers think that Gutenberg used sand to shape the metal molds. Afterward, the letters were placed together so they fit uniformly to create level lines of letters and uniform columns atop of media. However, central to this invention was the fact that Gutenberg also created his own ink to be used with the metal letters. He built the original device using a wine press, printing on paper also made on the press.
