2. Introduction:
The readymade garments (RMG) industry is the backbone of the economy of
Bangladesh and work as a catalyst for the development of the country.
The Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry occupies a unique position in the
Bangladesh economy. It is the largest exporting industry in Bangladesh, which
experienced phenomenal growth during the last 25 years.
Garment manufacturing process can be defined as converting 2D fabrics into 3D
thing desire by the customers.
3. History:

6. Major market of RMG industry:
The RMG industry of Bangladesh fully depends on the export. The major importer
of RMG products are USA and Europe. But there is other country that has a
contribution to the total RMG import.
7. Strength of garment sector:
• Strength learn workforce available at low labor charges.
• Energy at low price
• custom bonded warehose
• Financing exports etc
8. Weakness of garment sector :
• Lack of marketing tactics
• middle management
• manufacturing methods
• Subject to natural calamities

9. Conclusion:
Readymade garment is the backbone of our economy.The readymade garment
Sector plays an important role in the economic development of Bangladesh. As our
biggest foreign currency earner, this sector accounted for 79.63% of the total
exports in the fiscal year 2012-2013. It made up 10% of the country’s GDP that year.
The economic success of this sector, however, does not reflect the overall scenario
prevailing in this sector. Numerous financial and policy incentives from the
government have failed to ensure the rights and safety of the workers, who are the
driving force of this sector. Unsafe and unhealthy working conditions and social
compliance gaps have been hindering the progress of the Sector.
