Angina is a symptom of coronary artery disease. Angina is also called angina pectoris. Angina pain is often described as squeezing, pressure, heaviness, tightness or pain in the chest. It may feel like a heavy weight lying on the chest.
Stable angina.
Unstable angina.
Microvascular Angina.
Vasospastic or variant angina.
Adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle can help you keep your cholesterol and blood pressure down, keep your arteries clear, and prevent angina. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low-fat sources of protein such as nuts and fish. Exercise regularly.

• Mr. xyz, a 67 years old male, 86 kg, complained about
having chest tightness, left shoulder & hand pain &
weakness.
• Past medical history: Hypertension
• Past medication history: under the treatment of
telmisartan since 10 years
• Family history: father died due to heart attack at the age
of 40
• Allergies & social history : Nil
6. Treatment
• Goals of treatment: to relieve sign & symptoms of angina
and improve the quality of life of patient
Medications
Iron supplement tablet for increasing
haemoglobin
Atorvastatin(10mg) PO for lowering the lipid
level
Telmisartan(20mg) PO for hypertension
Atorvastatin is an HMG-Co A reductase inhibitor
Telmisartan used to treat hypertension
8. Advice
1. Take medicines as prescribed
2. Inform physician for any side effect
3. Don't trouble if dose is missed
4. Periodic screening for other cardiac
risk
9. Lifestyle modification
1. Drink plenty of water
2. Low heavy work
3. Take iron rich balanced
diet
4. Avoid excess salt & fatty
