Zachary Millward will play the character of Teddy in the radio drama. The recording will take place at Henley College studio which provides a quiet, soundproof environment suitable for high quality audio. Photographs were taken during the test recording to demonstrate the studio space. Contingency plans include backing up files and reserving the studio in advance in case of technical issues or weather problems. Initial research involved analyzing similar radio dramas to understand effective use of sound effects and realistic production qualities.

Teddy Zachary Millward Henley college studio
I have chosen Zach to participate in this radio drama as I feel his voice is best suited to the script
and storyline. My reasons for this are that Zach is also a college student like me and can work
around my availability timetable. I recorded my radio drama in the Henley college studio as it is
a quiet area and has soundproof walls which will make my recording sound clear to a high
professional standard.
Locations
I recorded at the Henley college studio. The images are below and photographs I took during
this process. My reasons for recording this in a studio and not outside is because I did not want
to hear any unwanted background noise when the recording was being played back. This would
mean I would have to edit a lot just to make the speech more clear.

Contingency plans
If anything goes wrong during my production I plan to make sure I know exactly what
I’m doing on what day with a backup plan. Software storage will be backed up on a
memory stick and due to weather conditions studio will be hired out in advance.
Research and planning
Week 1
I did all my planning, looked at several other radio dramas within the dame genre as
mine. I noticed that the use of sound effect were realistic which is what I want to do with
mine.
Today I started my pre-production and character analysis
After that I wrote my script which took several days to do
In my radio drama I edited my recording on Cubase as well as Premiere. On Cubase I
altered the mixer settings and added fades and transitions. I also added Reverberation
so that it would be clear to the audience when the next character or sentence began
