So, let’s start the tutorial

Open a browser

In your browser type in
www.google.com

Click google drive icon

This window will appear

Click “Go to Google Drive”

Sign in to Google Drive

If you don’t have a
Google account yet…

We will
create your
google account

Here’s how to create google
account

In this sign-in page…

Click “Create account”

You will see this page

Here you will create your
Google Account

Type in the details here

Type in your ﬁrst and last name
here

Your username

Create your password

Conﬁrm your password

Put in your birthday

Select your gender

Type in your mobile number

Your current email address

Select your location here

Click “Next step”

You will see this window

Click “I Agree”

Now you have you created your
google account

Click this icon

Google apps will appear

Click google drive icon

This window will appear

Congratulations! Now you have
Google Drive account

If you already have
Gmail Account, you don’t
need to create a new account

Remember this sign-in page…

Enter your email address

Click “Next”

Type in you Password

Click “Sign in”

This page will appear,
click google apps…

then google drive icon

To download the
Google Drive app

Click here to download app

or click this gear icon

then click
“Download Drive”

You will see this screen

Click here “Download”

You will see the progress
of download here

Download is completed

Drag the Google Drive app to
Applications folder

This window will appear, click
here

Click “Next”

Click “Done”

Now you can manage your
Google Drive folder
on your computer

Google Drive behaves like any
other folder on your computer,

You can:
Drag Files
Rename Files
Move ﬁles and folders
Edit and save
Move to trash

Any changes made in your
computer (locally)
are mirrored in
“My Drive” (online).

Now, let’s start exploring the
different features in Google
Drive

This is “My Drive” page

Click the drop down here

You will see these menu

Click here to create
a new folder

Here to create a Google Docs,
same as MS Word

Here to create a Google
Sheets, same as MS Excel

Google Slides is same as MS
PowerPoint

Google Forms,
to create survey

Google Drawings is same as
MS Paint

Here is Google My Maps

With Google My Maps, you
can create custom maps for
personal use or sharing

To create a folder,
click “New”

Click here

Type the name of the folder

Click “Create”

In your google drive tab,
folder will appear here

With Google Docs, you can
write, edit, and collaborate
documents wherever you are

To create a Google Docs,
click “New”

Click “Google Docs”

Google Docs will open in new
tab

Click here to type the ﬁlename

You type in your content here

All changes will automatically
save in Drive

Click “My Drive” tab, you will
see the Google Docs saved

With Google Sheets, you can
create, edit, and collaborate
spreadsheet wherever you are.

Click “New” and then “Google
Sheets”

This spreadsheet will open in
new tab

Rename the ﬁlename here

All changes will automatically
save in Drive

Same with MS Excel, create
your spreadsheet data here

Click “My Drive” tab, see the
Google Sheet saved here

With Google Slides, you can
create, edit, collaborate, and
present wherever you are

appear here

Give your presentation
ﬁlename here

Different themes are located on
the right side of the screen

Click the theme selected, it will
automatically update in your
slide

Click “My Drive” tab, you will
see the Google Slide saved

Collect and organize
information big & small with
Google Forms.

Forms

Click here “Take Tour” to see
the updates on Google Forms

Type here the title of the form
you want to create

Click the dropdown menu here

Select from the
different options here

For this tutorial, we select
“Checkboxes”

Type here the question

Type here the ﬁrst option

Click here to add more options

Click here if this is a required
question

Click here to add more
questions

Click here to add title and
description

Click here to add image

Click here to add video

Click here to Add section

Click this icon, and you can
select different themes here

You can also use your
own photo or logo

Click to see the preview of
survey created

A new tab will open to preview
the survey

Click “Send” when completed

Pop-up window will appear

Send the survey form through
email, you enter the details here

Or through URL link, click this
icon, then click copy

Or embed, click this icon then
click copy

We can share form via Google+

Share form via Facebook

Share form via Twitter

Click here to rename
your survey form

Click Google drive tab, then
see the survey form created

Google Drawings

With Google Drawings, you
can build charts, layout
diagrams, create ﬂow charts,
and then easily add them to
other documents or embed
them on a website.

Click here for menu options,
and create a drawing here

Click here to rename the
ﬁlename

Click Google drive tab, see the
survey form created here

Now all the ﬁles are created.
We can organised our ﬁles by
moving them into one folder

Highlight all these ﬁles

Drag the ﬁles into this folder

Files are moved to this folder. To
view the ﬁles, double click this
folder

Notice the folder name shown
here
