Thus talking about modern means of communication I
would mention two things – mobile phones and the
Internet. When I use all these things everyday I sometimes
recollect people who invented them. Without the work of
John Neumann, Charles Babbage, Tim Bernes-Lee, Zhores
Alferov, Al Gore and many others we won’t be able to enjoy
all modern means of communication. Modern means of
communication have introduced relevant changes in our
life. Mobile phones give us an opportunity to stay in touch
and to be reachable everywhere. Now it’s difficult to
imagine how people lived without mobile phones in the
past.
3. Telecommunication plays an important role in our life today. Generally
telecommunication is the transmission of signal over a distance for purpose of
sending information. By sharing information, human can get such a
development today. information is even considered to be one of standard
criteria to assess life quality of a man. In earlier time telecommunication was
done slowly by mean of simple methods such as the use of smoke signals,
drums, semaphore, flags or heliograph, and usually could transfer a bit of
information. For example, the use of smoke by Indian can be understood as
"the enemy has been sighted". For a longer distance and more detail massage,
pigeon post was used. Since the electronics was established and applied in
communication, telecommunication has made a great advance toward all the
fields of life today. Telecommunication is now understood as a system consists
of three elements: a transmitter that takes information and converts it to a
signal; a transmission medium that carries the signal; and a receiver that
receives the signal and converts it back into usable information. For example,
in a TV broadcast the broadcast tower is the transmitter, free space is the
transmission medium and the TV is the receiver. Some other
telecommunication system such as mobile phone, computer in net work act as
both a transmitter and receiver or transceiver. Telecommunication has a
significant social, cultural and economic impact on modern society.

6. Text messaging is one of the most popular ways to communicate. Rather than
seeing or talking to a person face-to-face, you can talk to a person over the
phone at your leisure. It can be an effective tool for locating a person in a crowd
or talking to someone far away. Text messaging also has its own language, an
abbreviated form of speech that has found its way into classrooms and
businesses.
Electronic mail, or email, was one of the first changes in how companies use
technology to communicate with individuals. The ability to release information
to many different people at once, without calling a meeting The positives of
email were the speed of delivery and the reduction of paper costs.
Instant messaging has been around since the 1990s. It was primarily used by
people to communicate while doing homework and just to keep in touch. It
was texting before text messaging became affordable.
The revolution of social media has allowed people to rekindle friendships,
make new friends and gain new interests. Some people will use social media to
connect new relationships in person, while other people will never meet
anyone from the sites used.
7. People are more likely to pull out their phone and start
texting while sitting at the table for dinner or while
having a conversation in person. The actions of texting
may seem rude under conventional social norms,
leading to misunderstandings.
Many people sit at home talking via IM rather than on
the phone or in person.
