Deutek Controls (India) Ltd. is engaged in design, engineering,
manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of custom built machine
automation and process control systems.
Founded in 1989, in New Delhi, India, Deutek is a team of experienced Engineers &
technocrats having expertise on providing end to end solutions in the field of Industrial
Automation. Deutek primarily offers hardware & software based integrated systems
comprising of PLCs, DCS, VFDs, HMI, SCADA & OPC software, including services for the
entire life-cycle of these products. The company has been working with system
integrators, OEMs & manufacturers from different industry verticals like glass, cement,
power, automotive, food & beverage, water, chemical etc.

4. HISTORY
Naren Dewan, an IIT Graduate of year 1981, and a technocrat by heart, started Deutek Controls in 1989, with almost no
infrastructure. The company was thus built step by step by the sustained efforts of the growing team, and by the vision of the leader.
Naren now has a rich industrial experience of more than 30 years, and continues to lead & motivate the company.
Deutek was started with a vision to provide cutting edge technology to manufacturing processes throughout the country. At Deutek,
our first priority is sustained ethical growth, and we continue to keep it as our no.1 goal.
In the year 1990, Deutek joined hands with Siemens India as their authorized system integrator.
The beginning of the 90’s was a time when Industrial Automation meant relay logic. Deutek was one of the early entrants in this field,
and was part of the revolution that saw Indian manufacturers changing their perceptions towards Industrial Controllers & SCADA
systems.
By early 2000, Deutek had established itself as a major player in the automation industry and saw steady growth after that.
In 2007, Ankit Dewan joined Deutek as a director. A graduate from Delhi College of Engineering, he was instrumental in changing the
way Deutek conducted business. From building a world class IT infrastructure, to entering newer markets, he has been responsible for
making the company stronger internally, as well as bagging some of the biggest projects for the company.
In 2008, Deutek was amongst the chosen few companies in the world, to be certified by Siemens Germany as their Solution Partners
for Automation systems.
In 2014, Deutek became the authorized system integrator partner for MatrikonOPC for their OPC hardware & software products.

We are a team of around 55 people, out of which around 30 are
Engineers, experienced in Industrial Automation solutions & services

The Engineering team is sub-divided into groups & departments. The

15. REFERENCE – 2:
SCADA RETRO-FIT IN HYDRO POWER PLANT
• The basic task was to replace the ageing UNIX based Prokon
LSX SCADA system with a modern SCADA system
• Siemens WinCC was used to interface with multiple S7-400
systems. The SCADA was in Server-client architecture with
redundant servers along with Simatic CAS Historian. A Web-server
was installed to provide visualization at the Head office
• Remote service was made available through VPN access using the
customers WAN.
• Other highlights of the system: Industrial grade PCs, Industrial
grade Ethernet Switches, 3 x 2 Video Wall, Central Engineering
station for Engineering the entire plant Automation System, Daily
report generation, GPS Clock synchronization, Data dispatch on IEC
870-5-101 protocol
• SCADA upgrade was done online. No down-time!
• All the Industrial PCs were mounted in a 19” rack.
