Presentation ethics
1. THE SIMILARTIES OF HINDUISM AND ISLAM
contrary to the common belief, Hinduism is as monotheistic in its creed
as Islam. The Advaita, for instance, keeps speaking about non-dual
monotheism, while the Bhagavad Gita says: “Eko devah sarva
Bhutantaratma" (one God who dwells in everybody). Or else : "all the 33
crore devi devtas are nothing but the rays of one Paramatma (the
Supreme Being)". We also find that in Hinduism one God is given 108
names or sometimes 1008 names "Sahastranaama" ; and in the same
way, Islam believes in one God who is vast and formless and He also is
addressed by 99 other names.
2. More important even, Namaaz comes from two Sanskrit
words: Nama (to worship) and Yaja (to unite with
God.) Vajrasana (a yogic posture) is an essential part of
the Namaaz, which is prescribed five times daily in the
Quran. Friday, the holiest day for Muslims, is as well the
holy day for Hindus to worship of the Mother Divine
(the Rahukal Puja or the noon Puja on Friday is
considered very auspicious by Hindus). The name of the
Islamic month of Ramadan comes from the Sanskrit word
Rama-dhyan. Dhyan means to meditate and Ram in
Sanskrit means "the one who shines in the
heart." Thus Ramadan refers to a time to meditate
on God. Fasts are also associated with Vedic worship, and
Islam has retained that fasting and praying tradition for
Ramadan ".
3. Hindus do not wear shoes inside a temple. Muslims also do
not wear shoes inside a mosque.
Lending money on interest is not considered good practice in
both Hinduism and Islam.
The Hindus have a practice of chanting mantras on the beads
of the Japamala; the Muslims too chant the 99 names of
Allah on the 99 beads of their rosary.
Donations to the poor are considered as a good practice in
both Hinduism and Islam.
4. Hindus fast, Muslims also fast.
Muslims have moon inscribed on their flag. Also, the month of Ramadan ends
after seeing the moon. Hindus consider the moon as one of the gods and
worship it on few occasions.
Hindus make 7 rounds around fire, Muslims make 7 rounds around
Kaaba.
Hindus believe in temporary heaven and hell until reborn again,
Muslims believe heaven and hell also but there is no reborn.
Hindus have a deity of death called Yama, Muslims have angel of death
called Azrail.
Hindus have a demon named Rakshash, Muslims have a demon named
shaitan.
5. Hindus have a god named Brahma and his wife Saras-wati, Muslims have a
prophet of God named Abraham and his wife Sarah.
Hindus have a dark deity named Krishna, Muslims have a dark
prophet named Kahan. However Muslim source of Kahan is disputed. Its
only found in one Hadith.
Hindus believe God incarnated in every part of the world, not only India.
Muslims believe God sent prophets and messengers every part of the
world, not only in Arabia.
Hindus emphasis on good Karma (rightful deeds), Muslims also emphasis on
rightful deeds.
Both Hindus and Muslims believe that reciting the name of God creates
inner purification.
Well, both claim to be one true religion, both claim to be a perfect way of
life, both pray to a invisible mighty sky daddy who nobody has ever seen,
both claim to go to an imaginary place full of fairies after death,
