Functional summary  More than 37years’ experience in all phases of the chemistry, urinalysis, and phlebotomy field,
Point of Care and former team leader of the Health Fair Team.
 I have been involved in the Point of Care department since it was established in the chemistry
Department.
 Currently rotate thru the following department in the Automated testing laboratory ,
Microbiology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Radiometer analyzer ,Reference testing and
Specimen Processing
 The last 7 years have been full to part time in the Point of Care Testing Department.
 Point of care experience in Glucometers , Radiometer, i Stat, ABL 80 and the ACT instruments
 Quality Control management, new lot verification and trouble shooting and repair of instruments in
both the POC and ALT departments
 Established new QA monitors in Point of Care.
 Involvement in the VAT team in the Point of Care Department which is picking out a new
glucometer for the UPMC system.
 Specimen Processing skills, computer management skills including report management and order
management.
 Operation and maintenance of automated instruments.
 Maintain the extensive procedure manuals in the chemistry and urinalysis and have written new ones
for all departments including Point of Care. In all departments I monitor the updates and the review
dates and sign off of all procedures while working closely with the supervisorand technical director.
 Phlebotomy and order entry
