2. Our first day filming was fortunately very good, we
managed to capture a lot of the film, and all of the
webcam footage in one day. This will enable us to
see how the structure of our film looks in moving
image and not on paper, and allow enough time to re-
arrange and re-shoot parts of the film.
4. Unfortunately this days filming did not go to plan.
Upon filming the “fight scene” we decided that
our script just did not look good on camera, so on
set we changed the script. However, it took two
hours and we were not happy with any of the
footage.
6. We wanted to upload and edit the footage that we
had got to see how they looked when in sequence
and had effects on them.
We are waiting to arrange another day to shoot
some more footage.
8. Today we filmed the “smoking scene.” This was the
easiest scene to shoot as we had no script, and
framing the shot was very easy and effective.
However, background noise did become and issue
during filming so Molly and I had to take a two
hour break, we would have got more done had it not
taken so long.
10. On set today we had planned our script and what we
wanted to capture. It took all day and we ended up
struggling with the natural light, but we got all that
we needed to finally put it into our film cut and edit
the whole piece together.
12. Our first cut enabled us to see what our final cut
will look like and influence us to create a better
film. Certain aspects like the editing, colours and
arrangement we will most likely change as well as
adding in non-diegetic audio to the film.
14. 1) Non-diegetic audio to fade in and out of film.
2) The arrangement of footage.
3) The colours – not all B&W.
4) Adding maybe another scene to the film? Her
reading to a class a poem?
