Comparison of measurement
Din Standard 362 (Measurement of noise emitted by accelerating road
vehicles)
and

approaching same type E and ICE vehicles
Deviation of the results
when measured at the DIN 362 measuring point
compared to db measurement approx.
5 - 10 meters in front of the Din 362 measuring point
Massive deviations in approaching vehicles
Din Standard 362 is not suitable for comparing the noise emission of
approaching vehicles.

Development (BMVBS). The programme’s funding budget, which runs from 2009 to 2014, is about 130 million Euro. It is financed
from the German government’s second economic stimulus package.

Volume reduction of approaching vehicles considerably higher than expected by
the Din standard measurement 362.
Main factors for vehicle noise emissions
-> Type of engine
-> Insulation of vehicles and active noise shaping
-> road conditions
-> number of start / stop operations.
Especially in delivery traffic (many start - stop operations) and small cars
considerable reductions are possible.
Less potential for middle class and upper class.
