Angela Frasco, MSEd, an artist and certified Early Childhood teacher, has worked with children in the
Montclair community for over 15 years. Angela believes that children are innately curious and offers
opportunities for them to explore and express themselves through art. She believes that children
learn best in and through relationships and offers classes where children work in small groups on
individual and collaborative projects, learning to listen to different perspectives, increasing creativity
and building strong social skills.
NEW!!! Famous Inspirations! (Ages 7, 8, 9 and 10 years)
Mondays 4 – 5:30 pm
Students, ages 7 to 10 years old, are introduced to famous artists each week as they research,
discover, and create their own inspired masterpieces. Various interactive activities including role
playing, expansion drawing, and interactive games challenge them to think about the artist’s
approach and consider diverse interpretations.
First Explorations (Ages 4, 5, 6, and 7 years)
Wednesdays 3:30 – 5:00 pm
Thursdays 3:45 – 5:15 pm
Each week, new skills are introduced as children ages 4, 5, 6 and 7 years old enjoy first art
explorations including collage, paint, clay, sculpture, drawing, puppetry, mask making, and more.
Students are encouraged to participate in their own learning through conversations, research, and
project work supported by the teacher. Literature and dramatic play enhance their experiences.
A weekly newsletter including artwork, annotations, and photographs documenting each child’s work
will be shared with families. A Celebration! is held at the end of each session. All students receive a
portfolio.
The Environment: Art With Angela enrichment classes are held at the art studio,
which opens onto an enclosed garden. Students work both inside and outside.
