Limitations:
Canvas doesn’t have as much awareness, meta data may be able to show stuff but you may not be able to see data. May be UI weirdness that’ll be addressed.
This is not Access!!
AAD for Identity and 2FA
Unified Admin Centre – Rich reporting and Auditing capabilities
Data Loss Prevention – You can’t flow data from a sensitive environment to a lower sensitive environment.
Compliance and Security
MDM (via Intune) – conditional access and device policy restrictions
“do you want to start with your data and go up, or do you want to drive from ui down”?
Canvas – UI First
PowerPoint like Experience
Data is bound to the UI.
Model Driven – Data First
Dynamics Unified Interface Framework (so inherits BPFs, Views, Dashboards, Sitemaps etc)
Changes to the schema reflected within the UI. Better backend experience.

A lot of ways you use web resources can be replaced with a canvas app.
Microsoft internally are moving to solutions (i.e. for Talent on CDS for Apps, for entities etc like an ISV)
Investments will be made into the Transformation experience for CDS Integrations.
Integration Templates will have a PowerQuery Experience.
Proven Technology (PowerBI and Excel), a good deal of expertise in this area.
For Talent app (which is built on CDS 1, this will be transparent)
For all else.
Will be a migration of CDS to CDS 2, there will be a simple wizard .
