OVERVIEW OF CORE COMPETENCIES
Throughout my career I have invariably been responsible for most or all technical
aspects of the business. Accordingly – I have both broad and specific experience in
many areas including the following:
- The conceptualizing, designing, planning, (overseeing) construction and
ultimate commissioning of production for both existing and green fields rigid
plastics manufacturing operations across a multitude of processes and
materials.
- All aspects of related production – including product and tool design to
ensure optimum manufacturing process selection, cavitations and best cycle
times and outputs.
- Interfacing/co-ordination of inter and intra company departments/services –
such as QC/QA, Occupational Health and Safety, Maintenance, Tool room,
Product Development, Customer service and Training/development
- Play a leading/active role in trouble-shooting and problem solving – based on
problem definition, data collection and assessment/conclusion.
- Have vast experience in the conversion and material handling of all major
materials including PET, PE, PP and PVC (including the compounding of
PVC).
- Management and training of set-up technicians, including set-up sheets,
rapid mould change technologies/work processes and Standard Operating
Procedures.
- Full practical knowledge and experience in the safe management,
maintenance and optimization of all ancillary services such as Power Factor
Correction, material handling, packaging automation, pneumatics and fluid-
handling.
I have been fortunate enough to have traveled extensively to the major conversion
equipment manufacturers and relevant trade shows.
