• News broke in the second quarter that Amazon plans to establish a 248,000-square-foot fulfillment
center in the Cleveland suburb of Twinsburg. The announcement reflects Amazon’s continued efforts to
expand its fulfillment network across the U.S. and broaden its coverage for same day delivery. Ohio has
been a significant area of investment for Amazon. Within the next 24 months, Amazon will have
established fulfillment centers in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati totaling more than 2.9 million
square feet. Furthermore, the company is constructing 360,000 square feet of data center space in
Columbus and is running an air cargo operation out of the Wilmington Air Park.
