The three vital functions
The human body and
nutrition
 NUTRITION
 INTERACTION
 REPRODUCTION
 We need nutition our
bodyes working.
 There are four humans
body system:
1. Digestive system
2. Respiratory system
3. Circulatory system
4. Excretory system
 Human begins are able to control and coordinate
their activities through the interaction function
 EXTERNAL STIMULI
 Are changes that happen in
ourenviromentet ouside the
body.
o A stimuli is any action of
changein our enviroment that we
can feel
 INTERNAL STIMULI
 Are changes tht happen inside
our body
 MOTOR RESPONSES
 Happen wen the muscles move
 Example we streach our arms to
catch the ball
 GLANDULAR RESPONES
 Happend wen the organs called
glands produce a subtance.
 Example when we feel too hot,our
body sweats
 Human begins recive informetion from our
own body through five
senses:SMELL,TASTE,TOUCH,SIGHT and
EARING
Olftory receptors are in the nasal cavity netx to the
pituotary area. The sense of smell are taste
THE SENSE OF SMELL
 Taste rectors are i the tongue. They are smell
bumps called buds
 Difference between sweet,sour,bitter and
salty flavours
 The skin is the main organ of the sense of
touch.
 Touch receptors can detect
temperature,pressure,pain and texture.
 The eyes are the organ that gives us the
sense of sight.
 Light enters the eyes thought the pupul and
lens and the retina and the optic nerve.
 The retina sends stimuli to the brain thought
the optic nerve.
 The ears are the organ of the sense of hearing. The
outer ear collects sounds.
 This sound passes through the iner ara canal, the
middle ear and the three small bones.
 Then the sound reach the colchlea and the auditory
nerve.
 The auditory nerve sends signals to the brain
 The nervous system has an importan role to
perform in the interaction function.
SENSE ORGANS
They respond to a stimulus and send
Impulses along the sensory nerves.
SENSORY NERVES
They carry information from the sense
Organs and internal organs to the central
Nervous system
o It recives and interprets information response
o It is made up of the spainal cord and the brain
SPINAL CORD (The spinal cord produces fast
and automatic responses)
BRAIN (The brain is inside the cranium and it
makes decision and gives orders)
 It central nervous system cordinates the
information recived and sends impulses along
motor nerves
MUSCULOKESTAL SYSTEM
Motor nerves (it brings a response. This reponse
can be either a voluntary or an
involuntary responses
involuntary movements
voluntary movements
 LIGAMENTS
Connect bones to each other
 MUSCLES
Can stretch and contract. This helps the bones
to move
 BONES
The skeleton is made up f bones and gives
shape to the human body. It protect the
internal organs
 TENDONS
Attach muscles to the bones
 JOINTS
Our bones are connected to each other at the
joints. Some joints can move, while other
joints can´t move at all
 FIXED
Can move. The bones in the cranium are
connected by fixed joints
 HINGE
A connection of two objects that enables one
of them to move or swing a door
 BALL AND SOCKET
A joints that can rotate. One piece is shaped like a
ball. This goes inside another piece which is shaped
like a round cup.
 PIVOT
A joint between bones that rotates around one poind.
 GLIDING
A movement that is smooth and easy.
