Good morning (or afternoon), ladies and gentlemen!
It’s my pleasure and privilege to take you through the credentials and achievements of my company – D-Link India Ltd.
Every body loves a story– and every company has a story to tell. Every story has a beginning, a middle, and an ending, preferably a happy one! Our story, I am happy to say, is a story of providing leadership through our pro-activity; it’s a continuing tale, and each chapter has a happy ending for our customers, our business associates and us.

The story of D-Link is one of adventure and excitement. Because, we did not follow the tried, tested and traditional methods to success. We were pioneers, we took the road less travelled in the words of the famous poet – Robert Frost – and we have continued to do so even today. In the next few minutes, I will take you through our journey – beginning with the first steps towards leadership; at the end of my presentation, I would hope to show you our proactivity and leadership in practice, and how it has benefited our customers and other associates.

We design and build many of our own products; our facilities in India has built expertise in many years, through our own efforts, and we have been able to successfully build and market products in many application areas through our own initiatives.

In addition to our world-class R&D facilities, we have world-class manufacturing plants in Goa. Again, the same philosophy is at work – we invest in designing and manufacturing our own products, we will depend on others’ resources in order only to offer a more complete and world-class range to our customers. The Goa plants are fully compliant with ISO standards to ensure the finest quality to our customers.

Being close to our customers has been another strong strand of our DNA. We today have the strongest distribution and support network of all brands in the Indian networking industry. Through our distributors, SIs, VARs and resellers (totalling more than 6000 across the nation), we can provide our products and solutions to virtually any business or home anywhere in India.
For our partners, we have a unique partnership programme in place – possibly the first in the Indian market. Called “Empower”, the programme recognizes the importance of such partners and provides them with our support and further provides inputs and rewards on a regular basis. We already have close to 200 Empower Partners, 500 Empower VAR’s & more than 2000+ Empower Resellers already signed up for the programme.
We have the widest support network in the Indian industry. Our network caters to all levels of support required by any customer, beginning with a 24x7 DTAC (D-Link Technical Assistance Centre) interface, going up to Level 4 support from our factory. Through our DSD (Direct Support Division) and RMA (Return Materials Authorization Centre) networks, every single customer is assured that his requirements will be dealt with quickly, and with the best attention required.

As a result, we have done things differently from other companies. From setting up manufacturing and R&D facilities, to marketing indigenous products of high quality, to setting up company-owned support centres, we were pioneers. We still are – we are the first networking company IN THE WORLD to launch Green Ethernet, a product which launched green technology in to the networking industry – a revolutionary product which saves power consumption by upto 70%!
