Tina Turner lost her life on May 24, 2023 at
the age of 83
The world of music dressed in mourning, after
hearing the news of the death of Tina Turner.
The Queen of Rock'n Roll has passed away
after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht,
near Zurich, Switzerland.
Tina Turner began her life as Anna Mae
Bullock in rural Tennessee. As a teenager, she
moved to St. Louis, where she met rocker Ike
Turner whom she married and mistreated her
for many years.
The story of Tina Turner contemplates the
life of a woman who went from poverty in
Tennessee to being one of the most famous
rock stars with millions of records sold; a star
on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; a Kennedy
Center Honor; and his inclusion in the Rock &
Roll Hall of Fame, along with a story of
survival and resistance.
