WORK EXPERIENCE
Multi-Unit Asset and Profit Protection Manager Sears 2015 - Present
I am in charge of the Asset and Profit Protection department for two full line stores, and two auto centers. I
monitor cameras for shoplifters and conduct internal investigations and interviews against dishonest associates.
I research different report databases daily in order to find any outliers that require further investigation. I
monitor the back room associates to ensure compliance for receiving and shipping processes. I research,
analyze, and process data reports and coach and mentor associates and managers based on the outcome of the
investigation. I managed the backroom associates and manager, and oversaw their behavior in order to assist
with running the back room to ensure procedural compliance and a reduction of costly errors. I observed
cashiers and corrected them when they were not following processes that could cause a loss to the store. I
created and implemented the cash only policy to avoid credit card charge backs when dealing with stolen cards
which we were receiving a substantial loss from. We reported a zero loss of charge backs after my strategy was
implemented as a permanent plan. I monitor our P&L for check and credit charge backs, approvals, price
2. changes, RORs, RTV, MRN and other processes that could cause a loss if not followed for adherence. I offer
impeccable customer service to customer's when price over rides were needed and I determined which over
rides to be allowed. I also perform a bi-weekly Anti Money Laundering checklist.
I am in charge of the safety culture, and oversee risk management for the multiple stores and departments to
include their monthly shrink and safety meetings. I investigate workers compensation, general liability claims,
accident reports, work with insurance companies, return to work status, and researching and investigating false
claims. I perform the monthly safety inspections and compliance audits. I conduct the monthly security
system's alarm test to ensure the building is adequately monitored.
Loss Prevention Officer Kohl’s 2014-2015
I worked to maintain visual observation of customers in order to apprehend shoplifters,
as well as monitor computer auditing systems for dishonest associates. Performed EAS hard
tagging audits and checked for high theft merchandise to be spider wrapped. Assisted police with
arrests, as well as provided video surveillance evidence for court and wrote detailed reports. I
performed operational audits to prevent loss through operational and shipping/receiving errors.
Area Manager ROSS Dress for Less 2013-2014
Area supervisor in charge of hard lines in a large, fast paced, 6-7 million dollar profit generating store. In charge
of maintaining items in my area and keeping their pads flexed and presented in an orderly and stocked fashion
according to merchandising standards. Recovered entire store and ran front end customer service.
I trained new associates on registers, returns, recovery, and fitting room procedures. I updated
schedules with call outs and extra associates. I had to balance store needs with allotted payroll
and keep associates in line with payroll expectations as well as maintain budgetary compliance
with supplies, utilities, and repairs. I am trained in Staffworks and Peopleworks scheduling
software systems. I completed numerous weekly projects for the store manager all while
upselling items to customers and encouraging their purchasing transactions.
I worked rotating shifts, and when I opened or closed the store, I was the acting store manager.
I led rally meetings and audited cashier performance. I coached associates when they were not
meeting performance expectations with respect and positive criticism. I utilized a Manager on
Duty daily and weekly form to stay on track with assignments, projects, and areas that needed
to be flexed and reorganized. I tilled registers and ensured the daily cash amounts were
secured in the safe as well as counted money in the cash office.
I supervised EAS hard tagging to help prevent shrinkage and protect company assets. I
performed audits to check for compliance. I supervised 40-50 employees and managed store and stock room
