1. What is your take on Marketing Communication?
Marketing Communication is an ever-changing field. The approach to this
can be traced to the assumption laid out in the cultural differences in the
worlds of today’s dynamic environment, in which marketers or brand
managers try to ensure that their messages get to their target audience.
At Malleable,we would say that marketing communication focuses on the
medium through which an organization orbrand message is communicated
to its public. It’s the means of awareness about a product to its consumers.
It can be in form of advertising, promotions, sponsorships etc.
Before we proceed, it is essential to understand communication, as a
veritable tool of passing information to an audience. Communication is the
exchange ofthoughts; it can be carried out by conversation, written words
or pictorial presentations. The major reason for communication is to
deliberately bring about a response from the receiver(s).
All communications have to be translated into symbols that can be decoded
and understood by the audience. The organization or brand manager must
be able to reduce the brand/organization’s concepts to a set of symbols that
will be disseminated to the public.
We believe that consumer’s behavior is ever changing, and marketing
communicationis not about forcing the public to accept a brand but rather
influence the public through various communications processes that take
place between the public and the organization………../
