September at 9:26am
âą This time and date was set because it fits
in with the school term
âą It is on a Wednesday morning when
people will be going about their normal
daily business
5. CHRISTCHURCH VICTIMS
âą Brian Coker was heading down to lunch when
the earthquake struck and destroyed the
Pyne Gould corporation building. A concrete
wall fell on him and he was pinned down for
hours. When he was pinned down he was
thinking of two things, texting his wife Helen
or not worry her, but he wanted to tell his wife
that he loved her.
6. Christchurch victims
âą He was rescued by his wife who alerted
the rescue team. The rescue team saved
Brian by cutting his legs off with a
hacksaw and a foldout knife. If they did not
do this he would have been dead. He says
he owes his life to his wife Helen.
