2. On behalf of Wichita State
University’s Panhellenic Community,
we would like to welcome you to
our campus. We are so excited that
you have decided to participate
in Formal Recruitment and we are
honored to serve as your Executive
Recruitment Committee.
As you begin your college journey,
you will be opened to many
opportunities, joining a sorority is
the perfect place to start. Our
experience with Greek Life has
helped us grow as independent,
confident leaders and we hope you
will find great experiences as well.
Formal Recruitment has been
carefully planned to provide you with
the opportunity to learn about the
sorority community. During Formal
Recruitment you will observe that the
sororities share common goals and
values, yet, each chapter has its own
character and personality. Choosing
a sorority is not an easy task or one
that should be taken lightly. Just
remember to follow your heart and
choose a sorority that will allow you to
be yourself and help you grow.
This task would not be possible
without our Recruitment Counselors,
known as Rho Gammas. Your Rho
Gamma will provide information
about the recruitment process, stay
with you during Formal Recruitment,
and provide a listening ear as you
make decisions concerning sorority
membership. Take advantage of
your Rho Gamma because she can
offer valuable information regarding
sorority life, academic classes, and
other opportunities waiting for you
here at WSU. Her job is to help you
and make the entire recruitment
process easier for you in whatever
way she is able.
Here are a few tips we have
learned over the years:
1. Always trust your Rho Gamma. She
has experience and even personal
stories she can share with you.
2. Always smile! Recruitment is a fun
experience, and the other woman
like when you look excited.
3. Lastly, always be you. Do not
pretend to be someone you are not;
they want to get to know the real you.
Once again, welcome to Wichita
State University. We wish you the
best of luck, not only during Formal
Recruitment, but also throughout
your years at WSU. We look forward
to introducing you to our sorority
community.
Dear Potential New Members,
with love,
Other than the fact that your Rho Gamma is probably the coolest woman in the world,
she is there to help you with any questions or concerns regarding Formal Recruitment.
