LESSON #

 Time Cannot be Managed!

We can only manage how best
        to use Time!
• Time keeps flowing steadily past us whether or
  not we are ready!

• There is nothing you can do about time. It is
  what it is!

• If it is to be, it is up to me!

• We just have to live with it!
LESSON #

Time Need Not Be a Problem
All undergraduate students have a total of
2184 hours to their credit at the start of
each semester.
• Make a conscious decision how your time at the
UWI will be spent! Always have a PLAN!

• Devise a strategy for not wasting time

• Remember there are no fool proof strategies.
One size does not fit all!

• Commit to it!

• Never become inflexible. It is your plan and your
  time.
Most Common Strategies
• Use of a Scheduler/Time Table to map out the
entire day. Include work, play and rest times. Be
  realistic

• Start tomorrow at the end of today. Make a list
of the things that must be accomplished for the
  coming day.

• Use of a Calendar to keep track of deadlines and
  important tasks.
•Breakdown major tasks into bits. It appears
 more manageable that way.

•If possible, work anywhere and everywhere.

•Set your own deadlines

•Learn to say NO to some things.
LESSON #

 BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF
• Do not set unrealistic goals

• Know what time of the day you are at your best

• Do not plan study groups if you work better alone

• If you are easily distracted don’t study in places
  that have heavy traffic

• Identify those subjects that are most difficult for
you and dedicate more time to them
LESSON #

    DEVELOP HABITS
•Scientists say it takes exactly 66 days to
develop a habit that can take years to break.

•A healthy habit can allow you more free time
on the weekend to do the things you love.

•Good habits developed now can make you into
 a mogul.
"The bad news is time
flies. The good news
is you're the pilot."
