Our family enterprise, founded in 1924 already
began it’s focus on the manufacture of modular
tubing systems in the 50’s. Today we have
evolved as Europe’s specialist for flanged tubing
systems with pull ring connections. Tradition
and knowledge are the driving forces for our
co­workers and management to continue to
strive for excellence.
Today the company’s know­how consists mainly
of a large stock of our own manufactured tools
and dies for the production of the wide range
of products, i. e. pressed bends, two­way valves
and pull rings. State of the art machinery and
a separate stainless steel production facility
supported through an efficient development
department enable a high continuous quality
level.
Furthermore, our finished product inventory in
our 56,000 sq. ft. warehouse guarantees
immediate availability.
Approximately 40 representative offices in
Europe and Overseas guarantee close proximity
to the customers and a continuous growth.
The JACOB GROUP now includes daughter
companies in Germany, France, Italy,
Great Britain and in the USA.

Nuestra empresa familiar, fundada en 1924,

Unser 1924 gegründetes Familienunternehmen

JACOB tubing systems have applications in all
industries – they are used for bulk goods
handling, dust extraction or exhaust air as well
as supply lines up to approx. 7 psi differential
pressure. Authentic JACOB quality has become a

Comprehensive technical advice together with

The main applications are in the food and luxury

We offer shock explosion proof, longitudinally
welded and flanged tubes and modular
distribution systems for bulk goods, dust
extraction, cooling air / exhaust (2 1/4"– 32";
coated steel, galvanized or stainless steel
versions, wall thickness 19 – 11 gauge) as well
as special products on request. The modular
system guarantees continuous quality and tight
tolerances. It also offers our customers quick
adaptation to, or expansion of, existing systems.

“CE 1935/2004” y americana “FDA”.
La línea JACOB FOOD GRADE describe un sistema modular de tubos de acero
inoxidable con más de 3.000 productos, y es nueva en este catálogo. Para
ello hemos verificado y eventualmente sustituido o rediseñado más de 1000
componentes de productos – de acero; desde pegamentos hasta materiales
de obturación – hasta el más mínimo detalle, para garantizar que todas las
piezas en contacto con el producto de nuestra nueva LÍNEA FOOD GRADE
dupliquen el grado de conformidad.
La calidad de nuestros metales y plásticos es compatible por partida

Los componentes en contacto con el producto los fabricamos exclusivamente
con aceros inoxidables que satisfagan al menos la calidad de V2A/1.4301.
Esto se aplica incluso al componente más pequeño, como por ejemplo
racores. A esto se añaden nuevos anillos de obturación rebordeados, vulca­
nizados y sin adhesivo, los cuales cumplen con la conformidad de alimentos
según CE 1935/2004 y FDA y también son más resistentes contra la rotura y
contra productos químicos que los anillos convencionales de obturación
rebordeados y adheridos. En la medida de lo posible, renunciamos al uso de
pegamentos o utilizamos pegamentos adecuados para alimentos.

mindestens eine Qualität von V2A/1.4301 erfüllen. Dies gilt bis zum kleinsten
Bauteil, wie zum Beispiel Verschraubungen. Hinzu kommen neue klebstoff­
freie vulkanisierte Bördeldichtringe, die zusätzlich zur Lebensmittelkonfor­
mität nach EG 1935/2004 und FDA reißfester, beständiger gegen chemische
Stoffe und auch temperaturbeständiger als herkömmliche verklebte Bördel­
dichtringe sind. Wo möglich verzichten wir generell auf den Einsatz von

The FOOD GRADE RANGE is the first product line in our market sector to

We have tested more than 1,000 product components for this range, from
the steel to the adhesive, from the sealing materials down to the smallest
detail, and have exchanged or re­constructed them where necessary in order
to ensure that all the parts in our new FOOD GRADE RANGE that come into

Our metal qualities and our plastics have dual conformity
We produce all product contacting components in stainless steel that
conforms to at least a quality of V2A/1.4301. This is true down to the
smallest component, such as screw connections. We also use new, adhesive
free vulcanized U­shaped gaskets that are tear­proof, more resistant to
chemicals, and more temperature resistant than traditional adhesive bonded
U­shaped gaskets, as well as conforming to the food regulations in accor­
dance with EC 1935/2004 and FDA. Where possible, we generally avoid the
use of adhesives, or use adhesives that are approved for use with food.

production. This means reproducibly high quality
welds on tubes and form pieces. Our state of the
art powder coating plant also sets new
­standards in the coating of tubes.
This applies from pre-treatment to inside and
­exterior coating of tubes and form pieces.
Our industry standard RAL 7032 powder coating
meets both the performance criteria “electrically
conductive” and “raw material FDA compliant”.
Our quality standards constitute our investment
in a successful future, consolidating and further
expanding our position as Europe’s No. 1
­producer of tubing systems. We have thereby set
a clear course for sustained growth.
Apart from upgrades of and extensions to our
manufacturing capacities, the scope of our
­investment also ensures quick supply availability
from stock.
We have also further extended our warehousing
capacities – already the largest of this type in
Europe. We are storing in excess of 5 000
­finished parts and more than 300 000 compo­
nents, i.e. semi-finished parts for the catalog
­listed product line, in our 56 000 sq. ft.
­warehouse.

under dynamic load in explosive conditi­ons and
certified by the Institute for Explosion Protection
and Explosives Technology in Mining, Dortmund
(DMT, EXAM) and from the Research Association
for Applied System Safety and In­du­strial Medici­
ne (FSA).
A general survey of the tubework certification
can be sent on request.
Slip tubes, cleaning sections (with square
­opening), air regulator slide gates and sight
glasses are not available in the shock-explosion
proof version.
Throttle valves, two-way valves and non-return
valves have been tested to the outside for
­housing resistance, but not for the shock-­
explosion proof shutting off of the tubing
(except shut-off valves with seal).
Tube components with a diameter of more than
12 inch have been certified as shock-explosion
proof only with loose flange connection.
In cooperation with INBUREX Consulting
­(Gesellschaft für Explosionsschutz und Anlagen­
sicherheit), Hamm, our items have undergone
a risk analysis of ignition sources and the
­certification has been filed at PTB.
It was determined that given correct grounding
and installation as well as exclusion of gases
­with tendency towards explosion of group ICC
and dusts with a minimum ignition energy below
3mJ most of our components can be used.
Please note that a surcharge applies for
­actuators, solenoids and limit switches in
Atex version.

En colaboración con la Gesellschaft für Explosions­
schutz und Anlagensicherheit de Hamm (Inburex),
nuestros artículos han sido sometidos a un análisis
de peligrosidad de fuentes de encendido, y la
­certificación propia obra en propiedad de la PTB.
La mayoría de nuestros artículos pueden emplear­
se siempre que se lleve a cabo de parte de la obra
una puesta a tierra como es debido y en la medida
en que se excluyan gases con la tendencia a
­estallar del grupo IIC y polvos con una energía de
ignición mínima por debajo de 3 mJ.

Öffnung), Luftregulierschieber und Plexiglasrohre
sind in druckstoßfester Ausführung nicht lieferbar.
Drosselklappen, Klappkästen und Rückschlag­
klappen wurden auf Gehäusefestigkeit nach
­außen ­geprüft, nicht jedoch zur druckstoßfesten
Absperrung der Rohrleitung (außer Absperr­
klappen mit Dichtung).
Rohrteile über Durchmesser 300 mm sind nur mit
Losflanschverbindung explosionsdruckstoßfest
­zertifiziert.
In Zusammenarbeit mit der Gesellschaft für
­Explosionsschutz und Anlagensicherheit in Hamm
(Inburex) wurden unsere Artikel einer Zündquel­
lengefahrenanalyse unterzogen und die Eige­n­
zertifikation bei der PTB hinterlegt.
Die meisten unserer Rohrteile sind einsetzbar,
­sofern bauseits eine ordnungsgemäße Erdung
­vorgenommen wird und Gase mit der Explosions­
neigung der Gruppe IIC sowie Stäube mit einer
Min­destzündenergie unter 3 mJ auszuschließen
sind.

Die Pulverbeschichtung ist elektrostatisch ableitfähig.
Alle verwendeten Rohstoffe unserer Standardpulver­
beschichtung in Anlehnung an Farbton RAL 7032
­(kieselgrau) erfüllen die FDA-Anforderungen für den
­direkten Kontakt mit Lebensmitteln (z. B. Bestimmung
21 CFR175.300 „Resinious and polymeric coatings“)
Schichtstärke außen: Pulvergrundierung mit einer
Auftragsstärke von durchschnittlich 55 μm.
Temperaturbeständigkeit: Von -60 °C bis +120 °C
­nahezu stabile Pulverlackeigenschaften.
Schichtdicke innen: optisch deckend. Die Innen­
beschichtung ist grundsätzlich nur erforderlich,
um einen ­temporären Korrosionsschutz unter Lager-
und Transportbedingungen bis zum Einbau der Produkte
zu ­erreichen.
Spritzgrundierung:
Grundierung innen und außen, in Anlehnung an Farbton
RAL 7032 (kieselgrau).
Grundierte Oberflächenqualität ist im Katalog gekenn­
zeichnet. Durchmesser > 630 mm sind im Standard
­grundiert. Auf Anfrage auch pulverbeschichtet.
Rohrteile innen ungrundiert nach Aufwand möglich.

Same profile pull rings for components with a thickness of 19 and 14 gauge (1 mm and
2 mm). The wall thickness is equalized by thicker U­shaped gaskets for 19 gauge
(1 mm) tubes and thinner ones for 14 gauge tubes (2 mm). The U­shaped gasket is only
installed on one of the two lips. U­shaped gaskets are available in silicone, EPDM (both
food grade EC 1935/2004 plus FDA compliant) and Viton or NBR.
Dust tight connection:
The air leakage per connection measured at a differing pressure of 7 psi (0,5 bar) –
i.e. 0.5 in3 (0.08 l/h) on a diameter of 3 and 11.25 in3 (1.8 l/h) on a diameter of 12 –
are far below the admissible values of DIN EN 12237, class D. The requirements for
nuclear plants (KTA 3601) of max. 10 liters per hour and square meter tubing surface
are below these limits. Provided that the U­shaped gaskets have the appropriate
resistance, no leakages have been found of condensed liquids in the tubes.
Connections of 16 gauge and 14 gauge thick tubing with up to 12Ø and 19 gauge
thickness for 3Ø have been certified as shock­explosion proof up to 45 psi (3 bar)
over­pressure. Surge pressure proof tubes with a diameter of more than 12“ have to
be installed with loose flange connections.
Application: Bulk goods conveying and air systems with differential pressures up to
50,000 Pa (500 mbar, 197“WC).
Abrazaderas para juntas en forma de „U“

Mismo perfil de abrazadera para tubos de 1 mm y 2 mm de espesor. La compensación
del espesor de pared tiene lugar mediante anillos de junta en forma de „U“ más grue­
sos para componentes de 1 mm y más delgados para los de 2 mm. El anillo de junta en
forma de V se monta sólo en torno a una de las dos pestañas. Los anillos de junta de
borde están diponibles en NBR, silicona, EPDM conductores y en Viton, con objeto de
poder cubrir múltiples requerimientos químicos y térmicos.
Unión particularmente estanca
Las pérdidas de aire medidas con una presión diferencial de 0,5 bar – p.ej. de 0,08
litros por hora con un diámetro de 80 mm y de 1,8 l/h con un diámetro de 300 mm –
quedan muy por debajo de los valores permitidos de la norma DIN EN 12237, clase
de junta D. También se respetan las estipulaciones para instalaciones nucleares (KTA
3601) de un máx. de 10 litros por hora y metro cuadrado de superficie bruta. En la me­
dida en que los anillos de junta de borde sean lo suficientemente resistentes, aún no se
ha constatado fuga alguna frente a líquidos condensados dentro del tubo.
La resistencia contra choque de presión de explosión esta certificada para las uniónes
de componentes de un espesor de entre 1,5 mm y 2 mm hasta Ø 300 mm para una sob­
represión de 3 bar, Ø 80 mm también con 1 mm. Conducciones resistentes a choques de
presión de más de 300 mm de diámetro tienen que realizarse con uniónes de brida loca.

Rohrteile. Der U­förmige Bördeldichtring wird nur über einen der beiden Bördelränder
gezogen. Bördeldichtringe sind in Silikon, EPDM (beide Lebensmittelqualität konform
EC 1935 plus FDA) und Viton sowie NBR erhältlich.
Besonders dichte Verbindung:
Die bei einem Differenzdruck von 0,5 bar gemessenen Luftverluste pro Verbindung –
z.B. von ca. 0,08 Litern pro Stunde bei Durchmesser 80 mm und 1,8 Litern pro Stunde
bei Durchmesser 300 mm – liegen weit unterhalb der vergleichsweisen zulässigen
Werte der DIN EN 12237, Dichtheitsklasse D. Auch die Vorgaben für kerntechnische
Anlagen (KTA 3601) von max. 10 Litern pro Stunde und Quadratmeter Rohroberfläche
werden unterschritten. Sofern die Bördeldichtringe ausreichend beständig sind, wurden
gegenüber auskondensierten Flüssigkeiten im Rohr noch keine Leckagen festgestellt.
Verbindungen von 1,5 mm bis 2 mm / 3 mm starken Rohrteilen sind bis Ø 300 mm
explosionsdruckstoßfest bis 3 bar Überdruck zertifiziert, Ø 80 mm auch bei 1 mm ein­
setzbar. Druckstoßfeste Rohrleitungen über 300 mm Durchmesser sind mit Losflansch­
verbindungen auszuführen.
Anwendung: Schüttgutförderung und lufttechnische Anlagen bei Differenzdrücken bis
50.000 Pa (500 mbar, 5.000 mm WS).
Loose flange tubing – Dimensions, see chapter 12

Due to a larger displacement of tubes with smaller diameters caused by the mastic
sealant, different pull ring profile widths are available for the different diameters of 19,
14 and 11 gauge tubing (1, 2 and 3 mm).
A very easy to assemble connecting system.
The elastic sealant in the pull ring is food grade EC 1935/2004 compliant. It is covered
by a foil, but it cannot be excluded that sealant can come in contact with the inside of
the tube.
Range of temperature: ­40 °F to 212 °F (40 °C to +100 °C).
Application: Bulk goods conveying by gravity and air systems.
For higher demands with regard to sealing and resisting properties of the connection
pull rings with U­shaped gaskets should be selected.

Debido a la mayor flexión de conducciones con diámetros menores, causada por
la masa aislante, hay disponibles diferentes anchos de perfil de las abrazaderas,
dependientes del diámetro, para componentes de 1 mm, 2 mm y 3 mm de espesor.
Unión muy fácil de montar.
La masa aislante de propiedades plásticas permanentes en la abrazadera es fisioló­
gicamente inocua (EC 1935/2004). Está cubierta de una película, pero a pesar de ello
no cabe excluir la posibilidad de que la masa acceda al interior del tubo.
Rango de temperatura entre ­40 °C y +100 °C.
Aplicaciones: Transporte gravitativo de materiales a granel e instalaciones de aire. En
caso de mayores requerimientos a la estanqueidad y la resistencia de la unión resultan
preferibles abrazaderas con anillos de junta de borde.

Wegen der stärkeren Durchbiegung von Leitungen mit kleineren Durchmessern,
bedingt durch die plastische Dichtmasse, sind unterschiedliche Spannring­Profilbreiten
durchmesserabhängig für 1 mm, 2 mm und 3 mm starke Rohrteile erhältlich.
Sehr montagefreundliche Verbindung.
Die plastische Dichtmasse im Spannring hat Lebensmittelqualität konform EG 1935/2004.
Sie ist mit einem Folienstreifen abgedeckt, trotzdem kann nicht ausgeschlossen
werden, dass Dichtmasse ins Rohrinnere gelangt.
Temperaturbereich ­40 °C bis +100 °C.
Anwendung: Gravitative Schüttgutförderung und lufttechnische Anlagen.
Bei höheren Anforderungen an die Dichtheit und Beständigkeit der Verbindung sind

U-shaped gaskets must be ordered to match the wall thickness of the tubes to be connected.
U-shaped gaskets for 19 gauge also to connect:
19 gauge with 16 gauge; 19 gauge with 14 gauge and 16 gauge with 16 gauge thick tubing.
U-shaped gaskets for 14 gauge also to connect: 14 gauge with 16 gauge thick tubing.
U­shaped gaskets for 14 gauge wall thicknesses are also used for connecting
11 gauge wall thicknesses.
U-shaped gaskets made of EPDM are conductive for static electricity with tubing made of
stainless steel and galvanized tubing and also with dissipative powder­coating.
The listed temperatures are process temperatures and can be exceeded for a short time.
U­shaped gaskets have to be tested by the user with regard to their sufficient resistance to the materials used.
If desired, samples can be sent for testing.
Perbunan (NBR) or Silicone (SI) are recommended gaskets for 14 gauge tubing.

Bördeldichtringe aus EPDM sind elektrostatisch leitfähig für Potentialausgleich bei Rohrteilen aus Edelstahl
und Stahl verzinkt und auch für Rohrteile mit elektrostatisch ableitfähiger Pulverbeschichtung.
Die angegebenen Temperaturen sind Dauertemperaturen und können kurzzeitig überschritten werden.
Bördeldichtringe müssen vom Anwender auf ausreichende Beständigkeit gegenüber den vorhandenen
Medien geprüft werden. Auf Wunsch senden wir Muster zur Prüfung.
Empfohlene Bördeldichtringe NBR und Silikon (SI) für 2 mm Rohrteile.

For powder coated tubes and moulded components with conductive JACOB powder coating (RAL 7032, pebble grey) we recommend the earthing

The earthing bridge is fixed to one of the screws of the pull ring. Existing paint must be removed
in the area of both contacts. If necessary, protect these points with zinc spray against corrosion. No stripping of coatings required when using
JACOB earthing bridge with contact caps on conductive JACOB powder coating, color RAL 7032 pebble grey.
Always observe the advice in our mounting instructions.
Alternatively the potential equalization can be reached with conductive U­shaped gaskets made of EPDM or with earthing­wires.

Durch EXAM­Bochum, Fachstelle für Explosionsschutz, zertifiziert. Einsatz der Erdungsbrücke Chromnickelstahl auf CrNi oder verzinkten Oberflächen.
Für pulverbeschichtete Rohre und Formteile mit ableitfähiger JACOB­Pulverbeschichtung (RAL 7032, kieselgrau) empfehlen wir die Erdungsbrücke
mit EPDM­Kontaktkappen.
Die Erdungsbrücke wird auf einer der Schrauben des Spannrings befestigt. Vorhandene Farbschichten im Bereich der beiden Kontaktstellen müssen
entfernt werden. Eventuell mit Zinkspray gegen Korrosion schützen. Das etwaige Entfernen von Farbschichten entfällt bei Verwendung der JACOB
Erdungsbrücke mit Kontaktkappen auf der ableitfähigen JACOB­Pulverbeschichtung im Farbton RAL 7032 kieselgrau.
