Thank you so much for the beautiful work you did on our Antique Tall Clock! You really
made the wood of the case come alive again, with your moisture, oil and wax treatment.
The pieces that were out of shape all fit beautifully together again at the base. It is good
that you balanced the clock and fastened it to the wall, as that should also help it to keep
good time again.
Thanks too for bending the nails and attaching the decorative piece of wood to our Dutch
cupboard of Delftware. You went beyond the call of duty to do that.
We have enjoyed the YouTube video that you sent us, and will be able to share it with our
Dutch and American family.

2. We bought a old clock that needed repair to just about everything,
mechanism, case, glass.. we wanted to repair it but keep its character. After
a horrible experience with a local “out of my house” guy we made the drive
to Hills. We could not be more happy with the way it came out. The owner
has a nice shop, was extremely nice, honest, and helpful. Price was fair and
he was done a month earlier then he said he would. Clock works great and
the repairs he did to the case and overall clock was perfect while keeping the
character of the clock. Every clock place we searched only did the
mechanism but Hills does it all. Overall great experience. Even if you live a
little far away (we are about hour and half away) it’s well worth the drive.
Hopefully my wife does not buy anymore clocks, haha but if she does we will
return to Hills. Highly recommended.

4. I smile every time I hear the chimes from our clock now that you have
repaired it. The word “Repair” might not say enough about how you brought
this clock made in 1790 back to life. It didn’t work. It had been shipped
across the country in pieces. Many parts were broken and others were
damaged – some gears were actually maliciously damaged. The clock hadn’t
been cleaned in years and the brass hadn’t received any attention in decades
if not centuries. Now the clock guides us through the day – hour by hour – as
it did when it was made 221 years ago. Pretty amazing. Thank you for your
work. What I find most impressive is that after you repaired and rebuilt the
clock works and you took apart every other part of the clock and cleaned it
and repaired it so that it now shines – the brass and the wood. Well done.

6. High end clock shop, with prices ranging from a few
hundred to several thousand dollars. Some of the offerings
are of exceptionally high quality and rarity, and most are in
pristine condition for their age. The owner is
knowledgeable about his clocks, accommodating and quite
helpful. Very happy with my own purchase. This is the best
place to go for a serious collector who wants to make a high
quality clock purchase, or for properly done maintenance
and repair work.

8. Mr. Hills repaired a grandfather clock which
had not worked in years. He did the repair in my
home, didn't need to bring it to his shop. He
cleaned another antique clock and got it
running and gave me an estimate on a third
clock. He was punctual and did all the work in
under an hour. I think the cost was very fair and
have not had any problems with the 2 clocks he
worked on. He was also very knowledgeable.
