It is predicted that by 2012,10 TRILLION messages will be sent globally!
Cell phone users keep growing and growing.
It is thought in a few months, the end of 2010, the number of cell phone
users will be over 5 BILLION!
Almost 60% of people view their phone as their life,
saying they can’t live without it.
9. Why is it effective?
Convenient: Customers like to be able to get coupons, make reservations, or
order food
Personal: We are always connected to our phones. 91% of people keep phone
by side at all times. Advertisers are now being put in the same category as
friends and family.
Quick: Don’t have to wait for an ad. It’s quicker for both sides.
ROI (Return on Investment): Better ROI because ad is usually welcomed. Not
random like emailing. Usually customer requests to be on the list.
Most effective way to reach out to Gen Y: It’s the future! With Gen Y spending
an average of $200 billion dollars on discretionary goods, advertisers are missing
a huge market if they don’t find ways to get through to us.
