Mirai Nagasu became a champion figure skater at age 14, winning the junior title in 2007 at age 13, making her the first skater since 1938 to do so. She developed a passion for skating at age 5 and trained extensively, splitting her time between school and practice with six different coaches over the years, to achieve her championship success at a young age.
