Freight Transport Association (FTA) is one of the UK's largest trade associations. FTA is a not-for-profit organisation that represents the interests of companies that move freight goods by road, rail, sea and air. We lobby the UK and European Governments on behalf of our members and we provide business services to help our members become more efficient in logistics.
OpenCms became the Cms of choice for FTA about four years ago. Beginning with OpenCms v7, we host and develop 14 of our own sites in addition to other UK and European organisations. We are now in the process of upgrading all sites to OpenCms v8 and are midway through that process having migrated seven so far.
Presenting FTA as a case study, we are keen to share how we have upgraded to version 8 showing examples of the sites we have built.
We will also talk through some of our custom development which includes a number of bespoke modules specific to our needs and how we have integrated our internal systems into OpenCms. We will also be releasing our first mobile app for iPhone, Android and Blackberry and will share how we have used OpenCms to integrate web content into the app.
