Alisa Watson Megginson
Founder and Owner
Former model, graduate of Barbizon School of
Modeling in Professional Modeling-Philadelphia,
PA, 1973. Pursued modeling career. She is the
founder and owner of “Positive Charm and Self
Improvement.” She started this venture in 1984 in
Charleston, WV. Since then she has held classes of
charm and self improvement in Manassas, VA ,Islip,
NY and Columbus, OH.
Her attributes also include as a freelance makeup
artist for such companies as Chanel, Shisedo,
Elizabeth Arden, Lancome and Fashion Fair
Cosmetics.
Ms. Megginson is very active in the community. She
has been a guest speaker for an Image Workshop
sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority for the
Debutante Cotillion in Charleston, WV and for the
National Council of Negro Women in Manassass,
VA. Participated in fundraising events as Director
and Model for “Dreams in Motion” Modeling
Troupe in Columbus, OH .
Ms. Megginson has been a flight attendant for the
past 27+ years. She has been involved with youth
for Career Day in Los Angeles, CA and Columbus,
OH, representing her company on the group panel as
well as doing career presentations as a Flight
Attendant in elementary schools.
Ms. Megginson founded “Positive Charm Little
Sister/Big Sister Pageant” in December 2006, for
little girls ages 7-10 and big girls ages11-14.

Mission
To instill self confidence, self esteem and
teach young ladies to just feel great inside as
well as out.
Core Curriculum
Two (2) three week courses that meet once a
week for 2 hours (ages 10-18 years).
Classes
(setup by age groups)
6:30-8:30p

6 young ladies (1 class per age group)
Schedule of Classes
Part I
• Week 1 –Nutrition (guide to daily
food choices) and Fitness
• Week 2- Grooming (manicures,
pedicures and personal hygiene)
• Week 3- Etiquette*-
(a)Social and Communication
(b) Self –Esteem and Confidence
(c) Telephone and Public Places
(d) Manners and Table Settings
* a unique dining experience at a local restaurant
at the conclusion of the course.
Part II
• Week 4- Skin Care (daily cleansing
techniques and step by step makeup
techniques- ages 17&18)
• Week 5-Hair Care(basic techniques-
shampooing, conditioning and
styling)
• Week 6-Wardrobe/Accessorizing
(dressing separately and organizational chart)

$50 per session (Part I and II)

At the conclusion of the course there will be a Graduation and a Certificate of Completion awarded (must complete both
sessions.) The graduating young ladies will present an informal fashion show to their family and friends showcasing their
