1. Submit a Report of Absence Form using OptiWorkflow (Optiwf)
1. Openthe OptiWFiconon yourdesktop or opena browserandenterhttp://optiwf
2. Clickon SignIn
3. Selectthe Police Folder
4. Selectthe ProcessesFolder
5. Selectthe PC_ReportOfAbsence process
2. 6. Complete the form. Whenyougetto the end,selectwhoyouwill be submittingthe formto. In
thisexample,we usedthe Echosquad.
Then, select Submit
7. If youwant to see where youformisinthe process,Go to the SENT ITEMS folderandselectthe
processyouwant to review. The circledicon(below)isthe progressmapicon. Whenyouclick
it,it will showyouwhere yourformisinthe workflow.

3. If you are an approver…..
1. Whenyou launch OptiWorkflow,the firstthing you want to do is setup your WorkQueue so
that you receive notificationswheneveraform issubmittedto you.
******** Youwill onlyhave to do this once.
2. SelectShow My Queues
3. Only the Queuesfor which you are a memberwill be listed
4. In the example above,onlyone of the queueshas an envelope tothe leftof the queue name.
The envelope meansthat notificationsare enabledforthis queue. In other words, whenany
new itemis sentto this queue,you will receive an email notification.
5. To enable notificationon other queues,checkthe box to the leftofthe queue. Then click on
the “Enable Notify” Button.
4. 6. To disable notify,check the box to the leftof the queue and select“Disable Notify”
7. To view what is in the queue,click on the queue name. The itemsin the queue (ifthere are
any) will be listed
8. To open a process, simplyclick on the process
