This document summarizes a study that investigated the impact of task-based writing on EFL learners' writing performance and creativity. 56 female intermediate EFL learners were divided into an experimental and control group. Both groups received the same instruction, except the experimental group engaged in task-based writing activities while the control group did not. Both groups completed writing tests and a creativity test before and after the treatment. The results showed that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group on the post-tests, demonstrating task-based writing improved writing performance and creativity.
