Dear attendees, here is a short intro before the real estate mentoring presentation and class. Remember that your "homework" is to learn the list of acronyms we sent you, and to locate some of the professionals we talked about (you don't have to call them - just bring the list of what you found to the class - this is practice!). See you soon!
Thank you for attending our real estate investment
1. Thank you for Attending our Real
Estate Investment Preview
This presentation is for our new
investors, and contains just a few
of the resources you might find
helpful before the formal class.
2. So you want to Buy & Sell property?
• Many people enjoy buying and selling real
estate, spurred on by the recent popularity of
numerous television shows depicting investors
who successfully purchase properties at a low
price, fix them up, and then sell them at a profit.
• What you need to know: It’s not as simple as it
seems.
• It is easy to make mistakes!
3. You may think you are getting a
great deal …at first…
But, as this photo shows, there
is oftentimes an issue (or several
issues) that you might not
detect.
In this case, there is a good deal
of rot in this house. Fixing
something like this can cost
thousands of dollars.
Investing in a property without
understanding how to really
look at it to see if you are buying
something you can realistically
fix up and sell at a profit just is
not wise.
4. Investor Resources
• There are numerous investment conferences and
resources throughout the state of Florida.
• We are primarily active in Broward County, in
southeastern FL.
• You’ll find area real estate investing and
mentoring events here.
• You’ll find licensed home inspectors (for FL)
through the official NACHI.org site here.
5. Investor Resources, continued
• General information on what real estate
investors should know.
• Learn some of the basic acronyms.
• Official website for the Florida Bar Association.
• NOTE: You will learn about some of the
important resources for your “investment tool
kit” at the meeting.
6. Keep in mind…
• You are NOT going to learn everything in a day,
or a week, or a month.
• Stay with it! There is a learning curve to
investing, and you WILL “get it!”
• Be patient, and don’t be in a hurry to buy a
property today. There WILL be another one
“tomorrow!”
• SEE YOU AT THE MEETING!
