OTHER EXPERIENCE:
Oxford:
Secretary - Oxford University Gilbert and Sullivan society- a diverse role- liaised with individuals and
handled promotion of events; involved in a successful production of The Mikado, helping with front of
house, design of promotional material and venue booking.
Oxford Finance Society - Attend talks by senior figures from the financial sector including talks given by
the CEO of UBS on creating more responsible and accountable banks, and a presentation on changes to
the financial industry since 2008 given by the CEO of Deutsche bank.
Telethon fundraiser- Exeter college- Worked with the Exeter College Development office to raise funds
for the College’s annual fund. Spoke with a large number of Alumni from around the world, including
some who were difficult to persuade or had other issues that stopped them from donating. I worked as
part of a team, successfully raising £7000 during the campaign.
Cherwell- successfully applied to be a news reporter for the Cherwell- a student operated newspaper in
Oxford- write weekly articles to tight deadlines, seek out quotes, speak to a wide variety of people on a
wide variety of student issues, from Lego MPs to racismand the pro-life/pro-choice debate.
Birkdale School
Member of the choir, which sang in Cologne Cathedral, and the debating society
Worked successfully with a school team to win the European Youth Parliament regional heat,
progressing to the national finals
Worked as charities editor for the school magazine
Won the Sixth form prize for modern languages in 2013
Attained an RYA I Sailing certificate
