makes the audience feel attached to characters and their
situations throughout the episodes. The series makes you
feel on edge the whole time given the situations that arise
during each episode and there never seems to be a lapse in
drama. The Vampire Diaries is like an emotional
rollercoaster.

The length of an episode of The Vampire Diaries can vary
between 40 and 45 minutes long.
The mood of each episode changes and it keeps you on
edge with the changes. The theme is supernatural/horror and
romantic drama mixed together.

The key action in The Vampire Diaries is how supernatural beings are living
alongside humans and drastically changing and endangering their lives.

The Vampire Diaries makes us question what we would do
for our friends and those we love, how much we would be
willing to go through for them and how to survive. It makes
you think if we could do what they do or if we would pack up
and leave.
The series shows a lot about how a persons ‘Humanity’ can
change them and their actions towards others and the
situations they are put through.

September 10, 2009.
The pilot episode attracted the largest audience for The CW
of any series premiere since the network began in 2006.[1]
The first season averaged 3.60 million viewers, and following
seasons have maintained an audience of over 2 million
viewers.[2] It remains the most-watched series on the
network. The series initially received mixed reviews, but
critics agreed as the first season progressed that the show
improved. Subsequent seasons have premiered to more
positive critical reception. The show has received numerous
award nominations, winning four People's Choice Award and
many Teen Choice Awards.
