Script for Forest Scene

1. “WORKING TITLE”

EXT STREET – NIGHTTIME
“Scream Queen” MARION is blonde and has dark eye makeup and
lipstick. She is wearing a low-cut top, a short skirt, a black
puffer jacket, black boots, a best friends necklace and white
hoop earrings.
MARION is walking down the street, with bright streetlights.
She pulls her skirt up and takes out a pack of 20 Marlboro
Reds and a small bottle of Vodka from her coat pocket. She
looks around to check no one is around her. She takes a shot
of Vodka and puts a cigarette to her mouth.
"Scream King” NORMAN, is wearing all black except for a white
and red letterman jacket. He is tall and has dark hair. He
puts his arm on her shoulder.
NORMAN
Boo!
MARION
(with whiny intonation)
Norman! You are such a dick. I though my throat was about to
get slashed or something!
NORMAN
(laughing) Relax! It was just a joke Marion, jesus. (Reaching
out his arm) Pass me the bottle, no point going late to a
party if you’re still sober.
MARION
We’re not that late. (her phone dings)
MARION’s phone bleeps. It is two text messages from her best
friend MANDY that read: “Wya? Im soooo bored lol.” Her lock
screen is a photo of MANDY and LAURIE, LAURIE is pouring vodka
into MANDY’S mouth.
We still have some time together if we make it quick.

2. MARION and NORMAN into the forest holding hands. MARION and
NORMAN lean against a tree. There is a loud cracking noise in
the distance.
MARION
(worried)
What was that?
NORMAN
It’s nothing baby
OR
Your mom
She puts his hand on her chest
We hear the noise again
MARION
I’m not putting on a show here
Go make sure we’re alone.
NORMAN
(rolls his eyes and goes to check out the noise)
There is a noise of leaves crushing getting louder
MARION
(yells out)
Norman?
(she tries to call him, and his phone rings in the distance)
Okay that’s enough Norman! Stop messing with me come out!
MARION walks into the forest, following the noise of his phone
She finds the phone on the floor covered in blood
The noise of leaves crunching gets louder
The KILLER takes their hand and puts it on MARIONS shoulder
MARRION turns around.
MARION screams
KILLER grabs her throat
KILLER slashes her throat
MARION clutches her throat; her hands and neck are covered in
blood. She falls to the ground and is dragged off.
