The report summarizes cargo and passenger traffic statistics for Polish ports in 2012 and the first half of 2013. In 2012, cargo traffic increased 2.2% to 63.9 million tons, container traffic grew 22.1% to 1.6 million TEU, car transport rose 8.6% to 342 thousand units, and ferry passengers increased 2.9% to 113.7 thousand. In the first half of 2013, cargo was up 16.7% due largely to increases in ore, coal, wood, liquid fuels and grain.
