for formative and summative assessments in
their classrooms. The tools that I will explain
about will include one of the following
concepts:
• 1-Recall questions
• 2-Skills and Concepts
• 3-Stratrgiec Thinking
• 4-Extended Thinking
• 5-Peer review/self-
assessment
2. 1- Recall
Quizlet
• It is a study tool that helps students and teachers. They can use already made assignments or educators can
create new ones. The more students practice the more they will remember the content. The types of questions
such as multiple choice questions will allow students to work on the questions faster which results in more
questions practiced. It will also show immediate feedback before moving on. Quizlet can be used for pre-testing
to give the teacher and the student an idea of what is the level of the student at this specific topic.
• This tool is excellent for any students that can read and write from elementary through 12th grade.
• The tool has many flash cards for vocabulary matching the word with its meaning.
• Teachers can assign students pretests using quiz that has already been created or they can customize their
own quiz, educators can also use it for practice. It can also be used as an exit ticket to show whether the
students have grasped the topic. The teacher can share the link of the assignment created on google classroom
or can share a code for their students to join.
• To view data teachers can generate progress graphs produced by quizlet to check on the students' progress.

3. 2-Skills and concepts
Blooket
• It is a game based formative assessment tool. It is used to engage students while
learning. Educators or learners can create questions based on the concept their learning
to check for their understanding. Students can also work on pre-made questions to
review or study at any time. This tool offers many unique games that students get
motivated to work on. Teachers get provided with data, score report at the end of each
game to evaluate the students' performance. Students can work individually or in groups.
It provides feedback to the students. Teacher are able to receive data for the class in
whole or for individual students
• This tool is appropriate for grades four to eighth it helps students collaborate, engage
and be competitive which will promote their academic performance.

4. 3-strategic thinking-
Edpuzzle
• It allows you to use pre created videos of lessons to use or you can customize
your own videos. It allows teachers to record voice takeovers to any YouTube
video. Students can create their own videos to answer a specific topic. It can
be used as a form of formative assessments or a summative assessment
depending on the subject. Students can collaborate with each other and all
participate in the video by simply sending it to each other to continue
recording. The voice over features helps with comprehension and students
can demonstrate their learning and their understanding by asking them
critical thinking questions.
• Teacher are able to view students' progress as students are working to
determine how much left for the students to complete.
• It shows which questions are the students struggling on which
helps teachers identify where students need support.
• Edpuzzle is beneficial for grades 4-8 the most it helps the students
collaborate when working together, promotes critical thinking and is a
student-led creation which promotes strategic thinking.

5. 4-Extended
Thinking Buncee
• It is a tool that helps in communication,
creativity, collaboration and critical
thinking. It helps students with project
based learning, storytelling, genius hour.
It can be used for read-aloud responses,
student portfolios r for responses. It
allows teachers and students to engage
with each other. It provides formative
data and allows the teachers to track
students' progress.
• It is suitable for all grades due to its easy
navigation features and it provides visuals
for students that are very young.
Standards
Students use digital tools to connect with
learners from a variety of backgrounds and
cultures, engaging with them in ways that
broaden mutual understanding and
learning.
6. 5-Self assessment of work
Nearpod
• Nearpod is a very beneficial tool to
help integrate technology in class. It
can be used for all subject areas to
review, collaborate or asses
students. Educators can give the
students exit tickets to get student
check their understanding of the
lesson and to reflect their learning.
It provides data as reports based on
the lessons that have been
uploaded to the educators stream.
It provides a percentage of correct
answers when students work on
quizzes. It provides an insight of
students thinking.
