Tools to help teachers begin implementing
for formative and summative assessments in
their classrooms. The tools that I will explain
about will include one of the following
concepts:
• 1-Recall questions
• 2-Skills and Concepts
• 3-Stratrgiec Thinking
• 4-Extended Thinking
• 5-Peer review/self-
assessment
1- Recall
Quizlet
• It is a study tool that helps students and teachers. They can use already made assignments or educators can
create new ones. The more students practice the more they will remember the content. The types of questions
such as multiple choice questions will allow students to work on the questions faster which results in more
questions practiced. It will also show immediate feedback before moving on. Quizlet can be used for pre-testing
to give the teacher and the student an idea of what is the level of the student at this specific topic.
• This tool is excellent for any students that can read and write from elementary through 12th grade.
• The tool has many flash cards for vocabulary matching the word with its meaning.
• Teachers can assign students pretests using quiz that has already been created or they can customize their
own quiz, educators can also use it for practice. It can also be used as an exit ticket to show whether the
students have grasped the topic. The teacher can share the link of the assignment created on google classroom
or can share a code for their students to join.
• To view data teachers can generate progress graphs produced by quizlet to check on the students' progress.
